Gravatar Wonderful post, LM! Enjoyed it very much. THIS is the stuff, man!

Congrats to TT, TLG and you for this major interview! Great work!

Gravatar It reminds me of one episode of FALL OF EAGLES which is a BBC series about the monarchies just before WWI. The czar's ministers are shown wheeling and dealing in the back corridors which are slightly run-down, shabby, and not well-swept while the public state rooms are ablaze with light and gold and guards in uniforms.

Gravatar The Best Man, by Gore Vidal - Best Political Movie I have ever seen..

"I don't mind that you're such a bastard.. that's par for the course.. but that you're such a STUPID bastard.. that I mind.."

Freakin' Classic film. Thanks.
Seriously great movie.

Gravatar I've always thought A/V geeks are the most iiiiinnnteresting people. My stars, the places you must go and the people you must meet ...

Seriously, "The Best Man" is a favorite of mine, too. Along with "A Face in the Crowd", it's one of those movies that when you see it, you wonder why you never heard of it before, it's just so damn good. Robertson's "Joe Cantwell" -- what a great surname, that, and of course we know who "Joe" was meant to recall -- was outstandingly smarmy, and completely odious.

Gravatar LM, it couldn't have happened without you and tlg did an outstanding job. I was too intent on getting the thing done to notice the surroundings as we went, so this is a real gift - living a moving moment all over again. thank you so much...

Howard is a remarkable man: I'm so glad you got to meet him!
