Paul could make things difficult for McCain this year, along with any more siphoning off of the extremist Right by Bob Barr.

But I doubt it - conservatives have an authoritarian mindset, and when the signal comes they just link arms and march off in unison.

McCain is a terrible candidate. His only redeeming value is his immigration gambit(pre-renunciation) might not make Hispanics vote against him 90-10.

More like against him 80-20.
