This reaction indicates that the GOP knows Bush's stupid statement (is there any other kind?) was a huge mistake. During the election season, Dumbya just provided the reality-based community with the opportunity to remind everyone that not only did his grandpa profit from the Nazi regime, but also that the GOP was the party of "appeasement" and Isolationism during the 1930s. I'm sure McSame and the RNC really appreciate that.

At least NBC didn't cave. ABC would have done so immediately, and then produced a docu-drama about Prescott Bush's heroic struggle against Hitler.

Olberman played the unedited answers on his show last night. NBC was doing Bush a favor by editing. The full answers make him sound like even more of a moron.
