President in waiting, nuff said.
Speaking of the guy the world loves to hate.
A squad of riot officers and horses were later sent to reinforce the barricade as protesters chanting "George Bush, terrorist" and "Bush go home" repeatedly try to break through the reinforced crowd barriers and concrete blocks.
The decision to close Whitehall while Mr Bush and his wife, Laura, dined with Mr Brown and his wife, Sarah, was condemned by campaigners and the Liberal Democrats as an example of civil liberties being curtailed at the request of a foreign government. Police said the road had been closed for security reasons without US involvement.
Link.
This shit happens where ever he goes, look at Sydney at APEC, we get our rights removed so he is 'safe'. Sorry george but the people who pay the bills didn't invite you...
He demanded to land at heathrow and f^*k up millions of peoples travel plans, there is a perfectly good RAF base 10 miles away.

Good to see. I'd wondered if he'd show up for Iowa since Iowa showed UP for him.

Thanks for the Obama slideshow. I've passed it on.
That being said, the embedded flash link hammers the system I'm running Firefox on.
I installed NoScript and FlashBlock about an hour ago, into Firefox 3.0 RC3. That release candidate will also now run AdBlock Plus 0.7.5.4 and McAfee SiteAdvisor, BTW.
That seems to have fixed the CPU utilization issues. It also put a stake through the heart of adbrite.com, googlesyndication.com, etc., etc. ad-nauseum.

Without having been there, the best message Obama could have said passed would have been would've been: "OK, great to see everybody here, let's get to work!"

Well, ceabaird, I'll say here what I've said elsewhere about Obama in Quincy.
This is the sort of thing a leader does. When there's any question, he shows people what he wants done.
He's winning me over, despite myself.

Obama then headed inside the Oakley-Lindsay Center, where about 500 people were patiently waiting in front of huge piles of sand. A huge roar erupted when he walked through the large garage door and began shaking hands. The chant “Yes we can” erupted minutes after he walked into the building.

To be fair to John McCain, the wartime injuries to his arms and shoulders would probably prevent him from shoveling sand.
OH MY GOD, I WAS JUST FAIR TO JOHN MCCAIN! STOP ME! STOP ME BEFORE I SIN AGAIN!
