The way this is going, the population of Paraguay is liable to get a substantial boost over the next 12 months or so. As various people get kicked out by their victims^H^H^H^H^H^H^H constituents, get indicted, flee the country, etc.
They are mostly stupid enough not to know that Paraguay does indeed have an extradition treaty with the United States.

2008 REPUBLICANS = EPIC FAIL
Another seat the GOP has owned since the 1970s, down in flames.
With each new "sure-fire" seat they lose, the GOP's chances in Nov. go down another notch - it may seem crass, but folks just don't like to vote for a loser, be it a candidate or a party. That nutbar radicalism is finally coming back to chew them a new one ... & now they're so used to cheating their way in at the end of a horse-race that when it comes to running from behind, they're hosed. They just can't erase or kite enough votes this time to even make a dent, let alone win a close state.
I think a LOT of those photo-finish states from 2000 & 2004 aren't going to be so close this time; way too many voters now wish they could go back & change their choice. But can they make a different choice this time? Yes, they can!
This was a Dixiecrat seat until '94.
Re-alignment. Suburban voters in Baton Rouge, Chicago and now Memphis have rejected the GOP.
Those are the swing voters -- not some weird fantasy of the steel and coal "lunch bucket" vote circa 1958.
Also a hearty congrats in order for George W. Bush. Turning the southern suburban vote away from the GOP is truly "mission accomplished".
