Other than that they pretty much suck. They showed Kucinich's speech which came across as firing people up but they yapped overtop Montana gov's speech which seemed to fire up the crowd, and they yapped overtop the, what looked like a very touching, memorial for the recently departed.... I guessing on that because they cut it out. Gaaaagh.
Keith did a nice smackdown on joe scarboro's blather about mccain telling him he should get a shovel. Jill at Brilliant at Breakfast has the clip up. That was good to see.
The msm are doing their best to NOT report what IS, but to try and try to instigate controversy by juding everyone's speech on it's "red meat" content. "Why aren't they going after McCain?" is what they're saying after every speech. Kinda sad that they don't GET it. And they had to mention the "rolling thunder"ers will be in Denver today or tomorrow to shout down the "National Security" argument that will be made. They're all faux news/jerry springer now. Arrrrgh.

Anyone else notice that Chris Matthews looked just like Timothy Treadwell (AKA Grizzly Man) last night? The missus did. When she pointed it out, I about soiled myself laughing.
My radio has been saying that the American Public doesn't seem interested in the convention. I guess they haven't seen these statistics....

Cable coverage has been so infuriating that I have mixed feelings about their higher ratings. I'll be interested to see if Larry King has all Dem panels during the Gop con.

Tassawwuf -- Thank you so much for that. I really enjoyed it, indeed. I was sobbing at the end. This is why I wanted to watch it myself instead of just hearing what others had to say about it: no one mentioned to me that he got a "standing ovation" not just at the end of the speech, but most of the way through it!
