Gravatar NO way.

Ok. Nucking Futz.

Chuck Pheney!

Gravatar andover has it right...

"The dean of Massachusetts School of Law at Andover is planning a September conference to map out war crimes prosecutions, and the targets are President Bush and other administration officials.

The dean, Lawrence Velvel, says in a statement that "plans will be laid and necessary organizational structures set up, to pursue the guilty as long as necessary and, if need be, to the ends of the Earth."

Other possible defendants, he said, include federal judges and John Yoo, the former Justice Department official who wrote one of the so-called torture memos.

"We must insist on appropriate punishments," he continued, including, if guilt is found, the hangings visited upon top German and Japanese war criminals in the 1940s."

Gravatar When I heard Dear Leader announce that he was taking the DPRK off the Axis, I wondered how Cheney was taking it.

Poor guy. Spending most of his professional life in a bipolar world between two supposedly monolithic power blocs (ours and the Communists) has affected his mind, poor chap. The sooner we get him some professional help, the better.

**SIGH**

I would ADORE seeing Bush and Cheney and as many of those homicidal maniacs as possible rot behind bars for another century, minimum.

But would someone be kind enough to tell me just precisely who is going to bell the cat??

Gravatar 204 days...

Might be sooner than that. If Obama opens up a big lead on McCain, the repubs will be looking for a sacrificial offering to the voters.

Cheyney's resignation for "health reasons" would do nicely, except, of course, there goes bush's insurance policy, and HE could become the next goat on the barbecue-spit. :o)

This isn't helping:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/ ...usforeignpolicy

Every day that the Iraqis hold on to the "no, we won't" stick, the bigger it gets.

No sweetheart deals for big oil...

No SOFA agreement for keeping our troops there...

No provincial elections...

If none of these happen, bush will have jackshit to show for those 4100-plus troops and that half a trillion dollar$. And all of it, hanging squarely around John McCain's neck.

Gravatar Maliki is trying for a measure of legitimacy amongst the Iraqis.

If he can publicly tell the Bush regime to go fuck itself and get away with it, he just might pull off that trick.

Gravatar Don't forget that this IS the Bush Administration and they can break any laws they want, with impunity. Therefore, I'd suggest that it wouldn't be out of line for them to suspend the election once it's clear that rethugs are going get their asses handed to them...
