Gravatar I can't say I'd be excited about either one. Gore won't do it, and Howard is committed to not doing it.

I guess I can't really get fired up about handicapping either one.

Still, a fun topic for a Sunday.

Gravatar Love the second pic especially

Gravatar I love Al Gore and, 40 years from now, will still be talking about how he won the presidential election and was robbed. Because of that, Gore is overqualified and the VP slot is insulting.
Dean has been incredibly effective with his 50-state strategy and is still needed in that capacity for the rest of 2008.

Gravatar The VP slot would not be insulting. That's ridiculous.

Just tell Al Gore to focus on fixing the environment as VP. He'll take it I bet.

Gravatar Obama Asked about Obama-Gore '08 Ticket

"I can promise you that as president I will have him involved in our administration in a very senior capacity in his role," Obama responded that, "having won the Nobel peace prize and an Oscar that being Vice President again would be probably a step down for him."

Gravatar Howard Dean has the same "problem" that Kathleen Sebelius has.

He's entirely too necessary right where he is.

Gravatar Gore looks very happy to be out of all that electoral politics clown show. I say leave the man alone.

Dean, as the post above says, is too necessary in his current job.

Gravatar As much as I'd love Dean as VP, I agree with what's already been said: he's needed where he's at, but I'd love to see him serve in an Obama administration in any capacity. Lots of people, including the Clintons, didn't want him as DNC chair, criticized the 50-state strategy, then tried to take credit for it. If anyone is battle-tested, it's Dean.

I've never had the same admiration for Gore. Perhaps I'm being unfair or a dullard, but he walked away. What happened in 2000, and then in 2004, demanded more than walking away. Maybe I'm missing the greater part of valor. He didn't really have the party (cough, Clintons) behind him. I'm not sure how well I'd fare in the face of a mob, but I always expected him to do more and he didn't, so I'll just zip it and think about the ideal ticket.

Gravatar Hello everyone.

I wanted to let you all know about some big things going on with the Hillary / PUMA Party movement.

PUMAParty.Com recently launched a combination of tools to help everyone spread the word and support causes related to Hillary, PUMA and anything else relevant

There are now over 425 members on the forums and many more are registering daily to show their support. There are sections to organize, network and take action. Time is limited so any suggestions or info you could share would be awesome.

Also, at the same website you can now get your very own PUMA Party Blog in a few seconds. Use it to post your thoughts, ideas, suggestions, press releases or anything else you feel is important. Each blog is linked from the homepage that receives thousands of hits per day.

I have also been notified by the admins there that they are willing to do anything they can to help the various causes related to PUMA etc. including spreading press releases to supporters, starting forum sections so that supporters of individual causes can network with the overall user base, fundraising efforts or anything else they can help with.

I hope you'll all stop by and say hello and help us move forward.

Thanks for a wonderful site, I will ask them to add it to the link section if it's not there already. Please link back if possible.

http://www.pumaparty.com

Talk to you all soon,

Amy

Gravatar Ok, this PUMA crap is sad. It reeks of desperation on the part of Johnny Mac and his people. does anyone really believe that this has anything to do with Hillary? This is so transparently GOP it would be funny if it weren't so pathetic.

Gravatar Oh, how nice.

The quislings have decided to grace us with their presence.

Don't click that link too soon after eating.

And Amy? Why don't you run along back to your owners back at the GOP?

Gravatar That was weird. I hope I didn't set off Amy's bot by typing a particular surname twice.

Gravatar No Gore VP..... he's got some other gig going and I'm not too happy with him making those commercials with pat robertson sitting on a couch with sharpton. I ain't ready to make nice and he...... is..... I guess. I can see him in a role in the admin though. Green jobs ...... Al Gore.

No Dean VP..... After what he just did for our party and this country, well, I think he's found HIS spot. Spectacular job he just did. WOW.

Annnnnnnd, Amy dear, I hardly ever correct peoples' spelling but you inspire me so.... POOOOOMA is what your'e slinging there hon. The POOOOOOMA party slogan "Sling some POO for Mccain". Oh, and if "Democrats" are for mccain, then they're republicans.

Gravatar Dean's term ends in 2009. If he could find a good successor, or Obama's new guy is sold on the 50 state strategy, then I say Obama should go for it.

He's a 5 term governor who's record is clean as a whistle, has the family values thing down pat, is articulate, aggressive, and loyal. He's a proven administrator and clearly can work with Congress. He's learned how to handle the media since 2004, and is quick on his feet.

Gravatar gore and dean are needed right where they are.

Gravatar I'd love to see Gore or Dean in the VP position operating as Gore did under Clinton, as an equal partner in the government.

I believe Obama/Gore could get a landslide by November. But wishful thinking I guess.

Gravatar Hey isnt' PUMA the group of supposed hillary supporters lead by the very racist decendent of thomas jefferson

Gravatar Is a PUMA a Couger that can't get any? I just don't think failure is a good rationale to found a political party on... but maybe thats just me.

Gravatar No, Li'l Gator. I can't go with the man who nearly put Joe Lieberman within a heartbeat of the presidency.

Gravatar sigh.

thank you tlg.

Howard's doing a great job as DNC Chair with the same skills & integrity he'd use to be a great President.

just...sigh.

Gravatar Gore waited until Obama was the certain nominee to endorse Obama.

Maybe he was being careful to offend neither of the frontrunners or their supporters.

If Obama loses, and his supporters and HRC's supporters loathe each other's candidates too deeply for either one to be a viable candidate for 2012...

With HRC crippled as a viable candidate, and Obama hustled off to oblivion as a freakish accident like McGovern or Dukakis, in the court of public opinion...

And poor old Gramps McCain, or his veep promoted to Prez after McCain takes off to the Great Flattop in the Sky, having presided over four more years of calamity...

Who does that leave "tanned, rested, and ready" to pick up the pieces in 2012?

"Regrettable, but it will leave me in command." *twirls dagger and smirks*

Gravatar Monster, even if Obama loses badly, and according to the polls he's doing pretty well, he's made history and is young enough for a comeback as Governor or on another ticket. He would make millions as a speaker and writer.

My concern is that McCain may be asked to step down in favor of a younger "gimme" candidate who runs out the clock and then with 4 years and some distance, Jeb Bush challenges President Obama in 2012.
