I hope not. Just lately, I've been on the Biden bandwagon for defense. He's pretty good at smacking McCain around (and all his surrogates).
Right now, I'm in need of a great many of McCain smackdowns.

McCain needs to have some of the stomp and whipsong laid into him. I just don't think Evan Bayh's the guy to do it.
When will Obama start firing back at McCain's egregiously negative ads? Is Batman a transvestite? Who knows?
Bayh may be the best pick he can make, however. Personally, I'd say Clinton or Clark.

Oh, good, a DLC *moderate* who is about as compelling as...cottage cheeze. A perfect choice.

Wanderer is right; Bayh is way too accomodating to the repubs. We need an attack dog who's frothing at the mouth.
Not a basset hound.

Woops, Wanderer! Not Clinton.
NEVER Clinton. That way lies disaster. The repubs would run with THIS like Man-O-War:

For Obama to even offer it to her, would cost him votes. He'd leave himself so open to charges of being nothing but a political whore, that it could easily cost us the election.
OTOH, my 2c, Clark is on the short list.

Bayh?
What the fuck has he done to promote the Democratic brand over the past decade? He strikes me as Lieberman circa 2000. The type who is vaguely embarrassed by the D next to his name and so overcompensates.
WTF happened to the short list that included Clark and Richardson?

hawkish on iran? over the top on israel? (frankly both of those might cause the same fucking problems)
still. i promise, no matter fucking what. to vote for obama and whomever he might choose for what ever reasons he might choose them.
anything but another republican.
anything.
clark would be nice. richardson would be great. sibelius risky, but excellent. napolitano is a very good governor that would put arizona in play, she's that popular.

Even though her actions have turned me off i would prefer clinton to bayh, and there is clark, richardson, sebelius. What the fuck is this bayh shit. These type of things will not bring out the vote. Does he want to end up the way lamont did? You are killing it for me Obama.

NEVER Bayh. Way too DLC, way too pro Clinton. Kent hit it right on the money.
For me, either Clark or Sebelius.

Clark was for clinton big time too, but he gives good smackdown so I'd forgive him that. Sebelius is on the cover of the DLC website of the mealy mouth party. ugh.
Bayh.... as I explained to friend yesterday when I read this Wednesday prediction, Obama has to choose him because it will throw people off from making fun of Obama's name. Bottom line. Look for the new "Obama buh Bayh" campain to start immediately.
I'm unclear on how Obama did not get the memo: This Is How We Lose Time and Again. Its common knowledge and his short listers all fit that scenario.
I'm with Minstrel Boy on this. Regardless, Obama has my vote. There's nothing he can do to change that. I don't know why in hell he's listening to reid and peolosi and their ilk.

Also, I gotta say that I thought they got the message that trying to be better republicans is the way we fail every time. Now, I'll have to add, trying to be better clintons than the clintons is sure failure as well. Its just being better republicans once removed is all he's doing here. its bullshit. Pure stupid terry mccauliff, dlc, clinton bullshit what he's doing here.
One of my main objections to the clintons' nomination was that it was more of the same. Now its not looking so good for Obama given this mor vanilla with elephants on top pick.
I'm not ready to make nice. :-|
