Oh

Gravatar yea... uhm... bye.

Gravatar So now there's the proverbial Snow ball in hell?
Bush's statement called him "a man of character." If you mean slimy, virtueless, ideologically blind, greedy character, then I guess you could say that.
Helms and now Snow. Good riddance, I say, and I hope for more.

Gravatar first Jesse, now Tony...

The reaper is getting his due before any reputations can be salvaged (see Nixon, Richard)...

SP

Gravatar I don't think Snow falls into the category of those we can speak ill off on their dyin day, but I could be wrong.....

Gravatar e--
I think I already did. He enabled this shitwad administration every way he could. And for that alone, he will receive no sympathy from me.

Gravatar 1 more turdbag down. A hell of a lot more to go. A good day, indeed!

Gravatar Don't fear The Reaper, for It knows what It's doing ...

Gravatar On a much more important note, Dr Michael DeBakey, has died. We owe a lot to this guy.

Gravatar CapD, it's more like "the proverbial snow job in hell."

I actually feel some sadness. I loathed Snow's politics, but he had some real professional class -- an attribute that's all too lacking these days. He didn't stoop to ugliness, and he never looked like an idiot (which Perino does on a daily basis). He was, quite frankly, better than Bush deserved in a spokesman.

Gravatar e - Snow lied until the day he died. Playing cards with Jesse in hell right now.

Gravatar Karma's a bitch.

Gravatar Well he was good a his profession and was very prominent in it

Gravatar I'm not one of those guys who is afraid to talk ill of the dead before they are buried. Fuck that superstitious shit.

One more dead jackbooted shitbag. Good. I don't know about you, but I feel like death has been doing real good lately. Jesse Helms. Tim Russert. Tony Snow. It's called evolution. Nice.

Gravatar One more scumbag down - so many more to go.

Gravatar I said to several people (and maybe said it in comments somewhere) that when I saw him in his final WH appearances, hoarse-voiced, a little gaspy, gaunt and gray of skin (they over-made him up for gaggles) that I didn't think he'd be around for another year.

He was done and he knew it. I knew it. We all knew it, didn't we?

The Big C is a bitch, and while I may have despised the man for his duplicity in promoting evil people and their evil deeds, that's a brutal, brutal way to go.

Ugh.

Condolences to his family.

Gravatar with you on that account LM. i certainly do not wish cancer, with its painful lingering death made even more painful by the draconian republican policies to make it hard to obtain pain relief, and to ease the symptoms of chemotherapy with marijuana on anyone. not even those who i might think are deserving really deserve that agony and tragedy.

instead, i will save my mourning for Dr. Micheal DeBakey. who spent his life in the pursuit of knowledge and treatments for diseases of the heart. many, uncountable throngs, of people are living today because of his life's work.

he barely gets mention in the folks who are thronging to either praise or condemn snow.

snow played a decent enough jazz flute and, the one time that i met him, he mentioned that he had actually heard and owned an album by paul horn that i played on. he said he liked my work. i didn't say i liked his (he was working for fox at the time), but i said "thank you" sincerely to respond to a sincere compliment.

bye tony. you died young. i'm sorry for that.

i will save my praise and honor for
Dr. Micheal DeBakey.

who lived to do great good for all humankind.

Gravatar Fat assed, lyin', scumbag PumpkinHaid has a seat at that table.

Bring it on for these miserable people who made extremely comfortable living working every day to get us to....

....hate each other.

That's what ReichWinger politics is all about....

'Hate thy neighbor.'
.

Gravatar Interesting that Scott McLellan felt shame for his part in the administration and came clean, despite knowing the sh#t they would throw at him. Snow chose to shuffle off without any attempt to clean the slate.

Gravatar Have any other prominent Republicans died of cancer recently? (Like in the last twenty years?)
It seems suspicious to me that more Dems get cancer than Repubs, but maybe it's just my imagination....

Gravatar Tony Snow is another person that will be forgotten two seconds after he is dead. Remember, if you are willing to shill for any organization that lies to kill people for money, your grave will go untended. No one cares that you will be gone, you didn't make a difference, and you were only out for yourself.

I reserve my criticisms for when heart attack number 5 puts Dick Cheney under the ground.

Gravatar While Snow worked for loathesome people, and could be an ass, I was shocked when I realized (today) that he had his colon removed...not part of it....

Oh boy. THat's just really nasty and an awful way to go.

I read Babe Didrickson's bio, and she had colon cancer in the bad old days of agressive and failed treatment. Before she died, the docs had to severe her spinal cord to kill the pain.

Dear god....SO, that's what went rolling through my mind today when Snow passed.

Gravatar When I was doing my little Happy Dance for the passing of Jesse, I remembered how pissed off I was at the knuckledraggers over Wellstone's funeral.

Then I danced harder. With more cowbell.

Gravatar It does seem classless to openly loathe the dead but, Tony Snow for over twenty years put a happy, smiley, professional sheen on the evil, hateful, and destructive policies of the the Rethuglican Party. He was paid handsomely to sucker the dupes. There is no way he believed his bullshit. His dying from the inside out of cancer is evidence. He took the big bucks, talked his shit dutifully and persistently and hopefully left a big pile of green dough for his family to mourn over as a result. The least he could do given how bad he enabled his masters to fuck over the rest.

Gravatar And motherfuck Jesse Helms too.

Gravatar ok, I'll say something kind: MAYBE if he had lived longer he would have come to regret his service to the worst administration in American history and its gang of lying, murdering thugs. Who knows.

That's as kind as I can get.

Gravatar I am very sure he went to his grave believing he did the right thing and supported the correct party

Gravatar Too much lying...and look where it got him.

Gravatar Tony Snow was not a monster. He was merely a full, front-face liar for George W. Bush and Rupert Murdoch. He chose to pollute the earth with the lies of his masters -- and then he died of cancer much too young.

Coincidence? I think not. He knew that he was spreading political toxins throughout America and the earth and yet he chose to continue. For money or ideology? -- we'll never know, although, being a Republican, both probably played into his decisions.

Both of my parents also died much too young of colon cancer. But, although they were also Republicans, I don't believe that they spread as many lies in such a short amount of time as Tony Snow. (They were actually really good people.) Whereas Tony Snow was truly an eternally spouting fountain of mendacity in the short amount of time he spent on earth. No excuses because you liked the SOB, please. He was a lying asshole, as were his predecessors and his followers.

Let us not speak too much ill of the dead, but may Rupert Murdoch and George W. Bush shortly join Tony Snow in hell. They both deserve the deeper circles. Dante may even have to add a tenth circle for Dubya.

If he weren't such an incurious, dunderheaded moron, he might even understand the allusion.

Still, I say, "Ship him to the tenth circle!" We'll figure something out.

Gravatar you are all just a hateful group of bastards.
