Thank goodness! This had the potential to turn the only relatively secure region in Iraq into turmoil. Good that this threat is gone now.
A personal point: Just yesterday, I had a converation about the situation with a small merchant here. He is of Kurdish origin and was very concerned about the safety and the wellbeing of his relatives who still live there. Imho it's good for us, seeing the news in a somewhat abstract light, to be reminded that this is about real people.

Yup, it's so easy. Just arrest the PKK. Hey, ok, the Turks didn't manage to do that on their own soil, but of course Kurdish Iraq is so much more advanced...
