Did they ask MSNBC to lose him like a bad smell, or not?
This is SO overdue.
Where the hell is the call to FIRE his pasty egotistical ass?
Where?
Did I miss it?

I love Countdown, and watched the MSNBC Iowa coverage for Olbermann alone; but Matthews' Giulliani-esque inferiority complex, and his obsessive fascination with every nonsensical analogy/canned observation he repeated ad-nauseum made it unbearable.
When he told Rachel Maddow that she looked like one of the men from the Dutch Masters cigar box, I threw in the towel.
Just watching his reactions to perceived on air slights makes me think he has a seriously untreated anxiety disorder.

I hope everyone here understands that the only person I'd less like to see as President than Hillary would be "any Republican".
Past that, Chris Matthews is sewage. Time to flush the toilet.

I saw a little of Tweety on Leno tonight. He seemed pretty defanged. I think his 15 minutes are near over.
Good-bye, Tweety...

Oh, that's just delightful.
Her two opponents were an underqualified machine politician from Long Island with the albumin still wet behind his ears who made it perfectly clear that he expected to be elected because he was Him, and the former mayor of a racially-torn city who the Republican establishment didn't support (he said at the time that it was like someone not having his back in Vietnam) who'd had two unacknowledged children with his office manager (whose salary doubled during the time that she worked for him) while presenting himself to the press as a great family man with a wife and two children.
Yeah, took some serious voodoo to get Hillary elected and then re-elected, particularly since in the second race there was a vicious Republican internal struggle over the nomination (Karl Rove wanted someone else as the Republican candidate, and our then Governor had a fevered delusion that if Karl just liked him enough he'd be the next president).
Honestly, I wonder if these people weren't paying attention or if they just figure no-one else was?

I kept thinking, "Wait, if these were comments about race, he'd be SO gone."
I think MSNBC is playing it this way on purpose. They want "American Gladiator" and WWE wrestling and the presidential race, all in one.
Unless MSNBC does something like firing him, I will continue to believe they see women as punching bags they can verbally abuse.

julia: your makeing his points for him. she didn't win in new york on her marits. she won on the distinct lack of marrits the other side had to offer.
if hillary is your nomanie you better pray that huck isn't on the otehr side. it would be close enough for the republicans to steal again.

Pardon me for the observation, but I seriously think that Matthews is a severely closeted gay man. One does not rise to this level of vitriol without serious issues behind them.

It doesn't matter whether Tweety is secretly obsessing for a bonin' in his nether regions or he's a small-prick hetero with a mouth bigger than his stomach. what matters is that he's spouting ugly crap on the public airwaves and getting away with it. As long as advertisers think that people are watching him, he will stay, because it's THEIR money propping him up. Watch who advertises and you'll see who ALSO supports misogyny, hatred, and un-American values.
Write to them, too.

Here is my take on why Hardball stays on MSNBC despite crappy ratings: Darryl Hammond's parody of Tweety and his show is one of the few SNL bits that really work and attract viewers. If Tweety goes off the air, then NBC's own SNL will lose one of its most popular recurring bits.

Moonglumster...if Hillary is our "nomanie" sic...and she's not my first or second pick, she will still kick the ass of any of your pathetic Republican candidates...
Especially your slimy "Replace the Constitution With the Bible" con man the Huckster...
The only real danger to the Dem candidate that I see is John "Hundred Years in Iraq" McCain....

After watching the Katie Couric raw video along with Chris Matthews ever-creepy presence and his stream-of-consciousness speak, I've about had it with these overpriced idiot tv journalists who make a shit-load of money, for what???? This crap! These people are offensive. Period! And to think they are in large part driving the Forrest Gump mentality in America.
America better watch its step and begin striving for excellence again, before we not only lose credibility, but compassion. I'd hate to think that a day would come where other countries might feel that fundamentalist Islamic thinking might have a point.
Chris, Katie and others do not represent the best we have to offer. And if NBC is keeping this offensive creep around just to service a comedy skit on SNL, just goes to show how far into the abyss we have fallen. When did the joke and trying to be funny at all costs become the top priority of the nation?
It's time for us to graduate out of middle school behavior and mentality. This shit just isn't funny anymore.

i happened on this site following a trail of crumbs dropped by those designing to rid our country of the "free press."
you who would castigate chris matthews for vitriol make him look like an ameteur.
i am a woman but becoming more and more embarrassed by the behavior of purportedly intelligent females.
what you appear to want is white bread, no color, no jokes, no difference between different ethnic groups ... just plain vanilla.
do you really believe the world is that way? would you like it if it was?
are you that sensitive to slights; imagined or otherwise?
i ran 5 states for an it company out of nyc back in the early 70s... i did not whine my way to that position: i worked hard and earned it.
the fourth estate is essential to our democracy... do you really want to stifle it?
the ap reporter that had the audacity to question romney on his less than truthful statements is taking a lot of heat,i.e., "he was rude."
no, he was not rude he was telling the truth and calling the candidate on it?
are you sure this is what you want for this country?

Marianne, there is a huge difference between asking a candidate a legitimate question --ie the AP reporter to Mitt -- and a talking head openly campaigning for one candidate while saying the most vile, sexist things about another. Chris Matthews is a disgrace to reporting. He is no different from the bias reporters at FOX News. NBC needs to either take him off the air, or add a disclaimer to his program that would basically say something like "Chris Matthews, the Obama cheerleader, will now present as much overt sexism as he possibly can during a one hour broadcast."

Just. Don't. Watch. MSNBC. They think "election night coverage" means the same thing as, you know, NFL Half-Time Show. I'm done with them.
(Sorry Keith, but you're not worth it. Never thought I'd say that!)
