it's not just their lifestyles they're trying to save, it's the tattered remnants of their self-respect.
they think vile parsing like this is a small price to pay...if they think that clearly at all!
OK, so what can be done about it, when McCain's version is the one being parroted by an obedient media, and that's what most Americans are hearing?

Every post-pubescent male in what used to be Iraq is aware that, as we get into the meat of the election here, they now have george bush and the GOP's balls in a bench vise. (That includes MACbush, of course) And if junior and the warpimps want to maintain the "stability" charade, it's going to cost them...errr...us, some baksheesh.
Since the protection vigorish for the insurgents was already at about a mil a day, the bartab for Malice-in-Wonderland is going to get quite stiff. Bush really has no choice but to up the bribe. Anything else, and the whole house of cards could come down, and come down at a really bad time, if you've got red-white-and-blue koolaid coming out of your ears and your ass.
If you haven't seen McCain's latest ad, brace yourself for the worst bullshit this season.

I still consider it astounding that the Slave Media is accused of liberal bias after openly, publicly and embarrassingly fellating George Bush and his cronies (um, that's a fancy elitist word for "cocksucking," Matthew) for nearly eight long years and of giving McCain a free pass on his record, career and his verbal gaffes.
Remember, Matthew, the Slave Media is only as "liberal" as their corporate masters allow them to be - which means that you see Wolf Blitzer only lobbing softballs, you see Georgie Stephanapoulus [sic] wiping semen from his chin, and Chris Matthews practically going gay over his deep man-love for McCain, Fred Thompson, George Bush et. al.
I won't put Fox in that category, as they've openly admitted on air that they're the propaganda wing of the Republican Party.
