Reality can change as soon as we change the words coming out of our mouth.

No, only the soundbytes, and sometimes the poll numbers change.
Collapse, OTOH, proceeds by natural laws. These take no account of the words of gasbags who whore for incompetents.
You can introduce a law equating Pi to 3.2 or repealing the law of gravitation. If you can convince enough idiots to vote for them, they'll pass.
But the universe isn't going to honor them. And you cannot arrest the universe, or compel it to obey you by a legal proceeding.

Sometimes it's fun to watch the narrative change hour to hour - but not when people are dying.

Well, buttfucking the english language cross-eyed, in order to create and sustain this Boschian nightmare, may have had enough slack, post 9-11, from the american people to keep them from hurling the koolaid back in george bush's face, but the party's nearly over, at least in political terms.
I still say Richard Lugar may well be the next preznint of the U.S.
For a very short period. :o)

Bush was right when he stated that this particular event was "a defining moment". Only thing is, not in the sense that Georgie Boy intimated.

Tanbark,
I don't think Crazy Jerome would have touched this nightmare - maybe a Grand Guignol setting, or Giger, but not Bosch.

Off the (as usual) brilliant Asia Times:
Every Iraqi Army unit has embedded US support personnel, examples: Air Force support coordinators, communication specialists, etc.
Kinda puts a lie to the claim that we, the USA, had nooooooooooooo clue this was gonna happen...

Waht's Boschian?
Who's Hieronymus and Jerome?
Someone let us low lifeforms into this rap . . *G*
But I LOVED what Clueless Joe said, and I loved his linky. GREAT read about guerrilla warfare.
Sun Tsu and Mao's little red book are great sources of strategy! Course, Unkle Ho learnt something from both, I assume.
Tan, disregard emails sent, didn't know you were all over this one . . *G*

Larue, search "Hieronymous Bosch" or "The Garden of Earthly Delights" (his best-known work). You'll find that Dali wasn't the first to dabble in surrealism.

Remember when Steve asked "What would happen if Sadr put 1 mio people in front of the Green Zone, asking the US to leave? What would they do? Could they just remain there as if everything was ok?"
Well, this time may come at last.
