But it was Jebbie, just yesterday, that was saying the pubs need to form a "shadow government" to thwart Obama at every turn.... on the issues of course. Which I found rather redundant.
Yep, sick o them thar bushies. GACK!

Well, this is pretty interesting.
Jeb, unlike his brother, is a real workaholic, and prides himself on being knowledgeable on a lot of issues. He's more hands on. Really smart guy, though not in an intellectual way.
He's also a totally competitive hard-ass, a my-way-or-the-highway sort of guy, which can get him into trouble. IOW, not a really good listener. He also is a lot more thin-skinned and bad tempered than George.
Thus, if you're patient, you can get Jeb's goat - ask Kendrick Meek, former FL state legislator who outmanuevered Jeb in their opposition to the One Florida initiative. He's now a House representative.
Ideologically, Jeb is pretty similar to George.
I wouldn't count Jeb out on anything because he's a very determined and competitive person. But he can be had if you know how.

We have yet to see all of the fallout from 8 years of junior.
To plagiarize Churchill, the election wasn't the beginning of the end, it was just the end of the beginning... And I think some of that shit will stick to Jeb, no matter how smart or hard-working he is. :o)

Hooray......
Jeb is the one with the best political skills, the only one who doesn't automatically sound like a blithering idiot. Jeb is the best demagogue of the bunch.

"...it was Jebbie, just yesterday, that was saying the pubs need to form a 'shadow government'..."
Myrtle June, I would opine that we have had a shadow government for at least the last 8 years--a government quite likely run by the vice president and a group of thugs who have really made the decisions regarding the direction of the country's affairs. Boygeorge has been nothing but a stooge, a buffoon, a patsy and a puppet who every once in a while was paraded in front of the people, much as a clown is used for amusement and distraction.

The Bush Crime Syndicate fields some pretty addictive personalities; they're drawn to the limelight and slopping at the public trough like flies to shit... they're addicted to public office and like any crackhead, they can't seem to figure out that their destructive habits can ruin others' lives.
THey're of a piece with the cunning stunt from Alaska who can't seem to get back home to do the work she's being paid to do, instead she's strutting her stuff like a pole dancer in heat.
I was afraid we wouldn't have the comic relief of GOPers to talk about after the election; not sure I'm happy that they won't go away now that they've lost and their ugly hatred of America's freedoms has been shown for what it is.

I'd remind y'all that Jeb was the guy who was willing to send his state cops (or was it the National Guard, or something else? Can't remember exactly) to forcefeed Terri Schiavo. The dude's at least as crazy as his brother.

Bush is only "eyeing" a run for Senate, testing the waters and fishing for support.
If Florida Republicans act like the bucket of crabs that national Repubs did, Jebba the Hut may not find it such a cakewalk. Also, he has that Bush nasty streak that can bring a lot of enemies out of the woodwork.
If Democrats can organize in Florida like they have nationwide, and have a halfway credible candidate, they have a chance.

Two words:
Terri. Schiavo.
Jebbie the Hutt squandered whatever credibility and goodwill he had in Florida (except up in the Panhandle, also known as Wingnutland) in trying to forcefeed that poor woman. I recall standing at my TV, hoping that the stupid bastard would order the FHP to intervene and risk having his Goober-natorial ass arrested for violating the orders of the court.
And yes, he's "The Smarter Brother." But let's face it, ladies and gentlemen: A garden slug with a lobotomy would be smarter than George W.

Jeb did not leave office with high popularity numbers. Floridians were tired of him when the end of his term came and were looking forward to his departure (like Giuliani in NYC). And then Charlie Crisp came in and accomplished more in 3 months than Jeb did in his last 2 yrs. Don't underestimate how tired voters are of Bush politicians.

I hear ya. Crisp is ten times a better governor than Jeb - simply because he LISTENS, rather than lectures others on why he's right (Jeb's habit).

I consider Jeb a more effective Dubya - which is very dangerous. He has the same political policies - cutting taxes, watering down regulations, cutting public programs to benefit corporations, wealthy individuals at the expense of consumers, the majority of the people, and the environment. The problem is that he's a lot more competant and driven at implementing these than Dubya's people.
Plus, he's got that same competitive win-at-all-costs mentality and vindicative mean streak (largely inherited from their mother, Dorothy).
Again, as I've said, the way to get the better of Jeb is to use the jujitsu philosophy - use your opponent's strength or major trait and use it against him. This means letting Jeb piss off constituents with his arrogance and displaying his temper, as an example.
