Yes, life's little victories. It felt good to see Bush give on something.
Now if the majority can grow some balls and give the silly little cooter a taste of the whip on FISA, I might have cause to smile a bit wider.

it is a sweet bit of victory, albeit a victory wrapped in a stinking funding of the war through '09, meaning well into the next administration.
it is, long overdue though. the travesty and scam of the "montgomery" GI bill has gone on long enough. i went to college right after vietnam on the GI bill and it, probably more than anything else, made my transistion to the world possible. something about campus life, with its young folks merrily going about their business without a seeming care in the world made the jungles and filth of war seem so very far away.
