I'll start my engines in two or three days once I finish recovering from barfing at the thought my candidate won't go to the mattresses for the constitution and also the way 'Unity' was recursive throughout this vulgar display of theater. If events between now and then don't knock me out for a while more. Fuck this shit. I'm not thinking of getting out the vote. I'm thinking of how nauseating this whole Versailles stage show is.

TomK-- your engines don't have to be started just for pres. candidate... how about down ticket races, or senate and congressional races. Help folks like Darcy Burner or other progressives.

Echo TomK. BIG echo.
Still, a centrist fall from a progressive primary is par for the course of prez campaigns.
ME? I'll have NOTHING to do with this fuckery until I know who Obama's VP choice is!!
I will NOT support HRC. Not in any way.
It's great she's on Obama's side, but I feel a dagger in my back already . . .
Nope, not ONE ounce of support moral or otherwise until I know she's not the VP.
I'm hoping, REALLY hoping, she's kowtowing to him for these efforts as part of HIM helping her reduce her campaign debt.
But until it's official, they get NOTHING from me.
THIS VP is IMPORTANT!!!! And I wanna know who it's gonna be.
Harumph.
Traitors all of them anyway, and proven.

looking over these intertubes in a beer-fueled miasma, i recalled my first comment on a blog...it was on motherjones in 04 & the topic was "10 words or less: reasons to get people to vote", or some such...i typed:
Future of World Depends on Americans Undoing Bush Presidency NOW!
it's more true today than ever it was, & more people that weren't open to it or didn't care to have an opinion back then have got interested in politics...i imagine everybody's seen it; some friend or family member or jerk from work is suddenly taking an interest for the first time, since 9/11 put them in a history coma... i believe that the situation in this country is so dire, & the unreal propaganda bullshit of the last years so fucking transparent, & the utter ridiculousness of congress & the media that it's penetrating on some level, making total apathy harder, even if your idea of political commentary is mallord filmore & satrdy night live...hell, i bet (show of hands?) the brighter of y'alls folks have even been soliciting your opinions, eh, cause they know you, gentle blogreader, are "into that shit"...
well, we are indeed...this is the hard part...full discolshure: it's way past bedtime, & i'm voting Obama all the way & making sure everybody knows it...if they ask why, you can speak from the heart & give em the short version...

Obama/Beelzebub 2008
Look I know people want to have a progressive president and that purity tests are all the rage with the disenchanted folks but get fucking real.
Should Obama pick the Devil himself he still gets my vote and support because if John McCain wins I will remain ashamed of my country's torture policy, Bush doctrine and warlike direction.
Larue for someone so sure of the motives of others you offer little in the way of facts or anything but a general pissedoffedness. Unfortunately in the real world of politics and life compromise is an important part of getting things done. That is unless you are the progressive version of Bush's "My way or the Highway."

Diebold still 'tallys' the votes of 80% of the nation. Therefore Obama will NEVER win. McCain WILL be the next president thanks to electronic voting.
