Good speech from Gore. Nothing new, but still good. Nice of him to show up to support the event with reasonable, informed, and relatively honest remarks.
If Nancy had been smarter, should would have high-tailed it out of the building to the airport after she allowed Gore to simultaneously show her up and save her sorry arse.
I don't like the obnoxious jerks from Code Pink (who I assume were heckling in the background during Pelosi's excercuse in running out the clock before she had to answer the FISA question), but if anyone deserves to be called on her bullshit it's Pelosi. So again, fuck her useless, pathetic, opportunity-wasting, buck-passing brand of "leadership."
You're not alone, ceabaird. It's patently obvious what's going on. Particularly amusing is the brief look of fear on Pelosi's face every time the moderator says "ok, a few more questions."
When the republicans meet their base, they don't ever look as nervous as Pelosi.

Why don't we get dog whistles about ending the war on drugs, putting the criminals in power in jail for the rest of their lives, science education, and fixing the fucked up country? That said, can I shout a hearty "sit down and shut yer damn gobs!" to Code Pink? I'm sure their hearts are in the right place, but their tactics are as irritating as they are impotent.

Good theatre would have been Pelosi being tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail. As she so richly deserves.
