Amid going after Obama for the minutiea, one of the questions that the "moderators" deigned to ask both Barack and Hillary, was this:
"The bush administration is currently paying tens of thousands of Sunni Insurgents at least $800,000 a day to (supposedly) lay off of our troops and to (supposedly) go after Al Queada, AND they're giving them small arms to (supposedly) help them go after Al Queada. Do you plan to continue this policy, and for how long?"
The question needs to be asked, since it's clearly a move to keep the two main factions at odds with each other, and one which the Shiites correctly see as siding with the Sunnis, and assisting and arming them for future factional strife with the Shiites, and since it's not doing a fucking thing to increase real "stability" in Iraq.

Progress: unlike "Desert Storm" in 1991, the media now openly refers to dead Iraqis (& sometimes even living ones)as actual PEOPLE.
Regress: several years after "Mission Accomplished" there's still a constant flow of Iraqi casualties for them to refer to as such.
