I came across that a few days ago. I can only see her turning right. Like you I tried working really hard. But I still can't make her switch.

Started out clockwise, then thought to myself, How would I make myself switch?
It was almost like a click, and suddenly she was turning anti-clockwise.
I can flip back and forth, but its not easy to do. (Must not have quite got the trick yet.)

Hubris, indeed, some very nice hooterage.
I managed to reverse her spin on the second try, then spent a few minutes having her spin back and forth. Neat test.

I've looked at this again several times ever since it first appeared on reddit.com, and I seem to be more or less likely to see it going either way every time, with a slight emphasis towards seeing clockwise turning. I can make the image seem to turn the other way by looking at it with only my peripheral vision and then willing my mind to see the spinning in the opposite direction. Ran Prieur told me that he can make his mind switch its perception by focussing on the foot that is spinning on the ground.
There has been some popular exaggeration of how different the functioning of the two spheres of the brain are. That being said, I don't discount the difference between the right and left brain-spheres entirely because those who would do so consistently appear to be bigoted fanatics who maintain that the way of thinking associated with the left hemisphere (rational, linear) is the only valid way to think.

You are aware that the Left Brain/Right Brain thing is junk science.
It was discovered on people with abnormal neurology, they had epilepsy so bad that their corpus callosum needed to be severed, and that the lateralization varies from culture to culture, largely based on language structure,

At first it was going anti-cw, then I did something that made it switch. Is this a trick to show we use both sides equally, or one side at first glance, then another as the pic becomes clear? Can't make it change back to anti, tho.

Apparently, I'm right-brained and can't take my eyes off of erect nipples.
This tells me nothing I didn't already know.

I tried focusing on the foot and suddenly she started jumping up and down as she spun around. Then, when I was ready to close the window she suddenly changed directions and stopped jumping.
Now I'm focusing on making her touch herself....

I just scrolled down so only about half the image was showing, then it was easy for me to 'make her switch directions'.

She ALWAYS goes rightbrain for me... I can't see how anyone could see it going counter clockwise! I guess I am firmly rooted in the right brain.

She started out going clockwise for me. Then, I tried to analyze what I was seeing, and she paused and then switched direction. She kept spinning counter-clockwise until I gave up trying to analyze it, so she switched again. After a bit of practice, I was able to switch back and forth at will by thinking left-brain or right-brain thoughts.

I can see it either way pretty easily.
Anti-clockwise first, but after that either way with little difficulty.

I can make it switch two ways.
1. Hit the window with my mouse, as if I'm going to move the entire window. This freezes the woman in all kinds of bendy positions.
When I start paying attention to which way I want her to move again, minutes have passed, and she'll often go the other direction. Sometimes. Well, occasionally.
Usually I can get this going so I just flip, flip, flip back and forth.
2. Focus on the turning outside hand. (This one's a bit less reliable for me, but it does work. Like Mark Gisleson's foot. [A leg man Mark?]).
As it vanishes behind the turning body, make it STOP. Now make it come back out the same way it went in. Ta-da!

For me, it was focusing on her pivot foot. As she's going around, remember—she's just a silhouette, so once that foot turns on the axis, if you're focusing on it as it foreshortens (is neither pointing left or right, but rather at you or away from you), you can follow it out of the foreshortening to go whatever way you wish—clockwise or counter. Took about 90 seconds to get, but now? She dances on tehhead of a pin for old Papa LM.

I saw her going counterclockwise and tried unsuccessfully to change it. I went over to the lists of left/right attributes and scrolled down a little bit. When I looked back at the image I noticed that I was seeing her legs spin clockwise and when I scrolled back up she coninued to spin clockwise, but then I couldn't change THAT! If I look away and come back I can get her to change but I can't change directions while I'm watching her.

Ran Prieur told me that he can make his mind switch its perception by focussing on the foot that is spinning on the ground.
That was how I got control of the spin (which defaults to anti-clockwise). The "shift instant" is a bit disconcerting.
Apparently, I'm right-brained and can't take my eyes off of erect nipples.

Like moonglum, I'm left-brained with the same problem. My default *brain* position may be left, but my default *eye* position is nipplage. (and, eye-wise, told me nothing I did not already know).

I started with counter-clockwise, and then she switched with no effort on my part. After some time of trying to switch her back, I finally did, and now she switches back and forth -- but on her schedule, not mine. I did realize that part of my reason for counter-clockwise is somewhat unique in this group: after years of ballet lessons, I know viscerally that one hardly ever turns toward the leg that's down rather than the leg that's up.
