It might be fun on those flights into George W Bush Clusterfuck International ("Lost luggage, no! Blown up luggage, yes!"). I wonder if the passengers will be ready for a daring roller-coaster landing whie the plane spews flares out its ass to decoy away SAMs, followed by a breakneck takeoff on the way out.

Or maybe they'll do everything at night so no one will know...

I thought all the DC-10s had been converted to freighters or sold to third-world airlines after their name became mud in the 90s. I travel a fair bit and haven't seen one on a US airport ramp that wasn't a freighter conversion in at least a decade.

NW only recently got new aircraft for their transatlantic run (Mpls - Gatwick). Up to then, they were using DC-10's............. and we had to suffer flying on them. That, the service and food....... you just wished they knocked you out as you stepped aboard.
