And so soon after Huber's definitive Krauthammer beatdown:

LM,
While SteveK's link to Huber is right on its merits, I simply can't read or watch Krauthammer any more because watching an ostensibly intelligent man turn into a drooling schizophrenic when Bush or the war is brought up is just too embarrassing. I think that there is more than a little truth to the old saw that those who go into psychology/psychiatry are in search of healing for themselves.

As a mental health specialist I have to acknowledge that there is a great deal of truth in that "old saw" Melanie. The problem for people like Krauthammer is that they never secured healing for themselves.

What a fab visual.
Am just starting to lurk back around here. I still miss Gilly so much. GOD DAMN I miss him.
LM and Jesse and Hubris and whoever else, bless you for carrying on this blog. You people are awesome writers, entertaining, funny, endlessly thought-provoking.
Just still not done with WAAAAHHHH I MISS STEVE ... damn it's taking me a long time to get over grieving him ... I still feel him when I click here, so that's good I suppose
thank you guys ... eventually I'll get to actually commenting substantively, perhaps

Is Krauthammer's perpetually simpering face a product of his accident? Because he repels me just lookin' at him.

I miss Steve every day. I really am disappointed that the very dear man is not here to enjoy the end of the NeoCon nightmare and to offer his pointed commentary on whatever the next big thing might be. I think LM is doing a job on Rudy that Steve would be proud of, and the other writers here who were once just commenters, are doing great work, but still, I think all of us who were Steve readers miss him and miss his voice.
And it is likely that we will never get over the loss.
C'est la vie.

drbopper,
After 25 years of therapy and 5 therapists, I realized that I was in better shape than most of the people who were "treating" me. It was time to go home.
