This is being held right now about 10 miles from my house, and I'm not there.

Mainly I didn't go because it was presented to me as an event that was really only for people who are committed to voting with the Dems Abroad bloc. Those of us who are still registered to vote in a home state aren't really "abroad", and need not apply.

Gator, if that's not the case, Dems Abroad needs to do a much better job of communicating it. I was very active with the group in 2004 (and have attended meetings as recently as Thanksgiving) -- but the message I've been getting lately is that as long as I insist on voting in Washington State instead of registering as an overseas voter, I'm not really part of the club.
