Ohhhh...was that ever a mistake, Jesse.
I've got another blog post to write for Dave today, and a mountain of study to get started on for next week. And all that needs to get done before I can write another one for GNB.
And so you show me this.
Big mistake, dude. The biggest. Huge.
Another Saturday shot to hell.

Sorry - but just like with Buffy The Vampire Slayer (despite it's "depth")---- Not impressed.

Um. Not quite addictive. Maybe I just got too many family photo album snaps.

The language with the largest numbers of blogs is... Japanese.

Thanks for letting us know this didn't do anything for you. Coupled with your assessment that BtVS (the series, not the movie) didn't do anything for you either, that's an interesting data point. Much appreciated.

Interesting technology... I think that the effect people are seeing is the longatudanal aspect of it. As this old world spins, our clocks are basically the same in a line north to south. So look at the clock... when do most people update thier blogs and upload pictures... voila there is the languages you will see. I checked it out this afternoon and saw mucho Portuguese, mostly from Brazil and Spanish with a lot from Chile. Lots of Americans too with my Central Time zone...
It is a very positive picture of humankind when compared to the news. If news stories are a bloody river of wars, crime and conflicts, humankind lives along the banks having birthday parties, pets and friendship photos. I was seriously impressed with the similarities of mankind expressed in the uploads.

Impressions:
1. I cut myself off fast before it was too late.
2. The text doesn't stay synched with the picture for very long.

And for some reason, it shows me 4 pictures then gets "stuck".
Damn. Or maybe that's a good thing.

Great fun, could be addictive.
Preferably at somewhat below default speed, since I want a bit of reaction time before deciding whether or not to pause the flow.
Following a few at random (only ones that had no obvious nationality), I got mostly Americans. AmuseInc is surely right about the time-dependence of the nationality of pictures seen.

You may be on to something with your speculation about writing in not-english. My clicks led to spanish, english, 'slavic', portugese, and french - not at all what I would have expected.

Yes, potentially addictive. The photos that interested me were mostly of nice
buildings and scenery which were from blogs mostly from South America. I noticed that people from Asia seemed to prefer portraits and group photos, at least from my 20 or 30 minutes of viewing.

That's outstanding. I clicked on about a dozen pictures in ten minutes and all but two led to non-English sites. Most were to literal photoblogs, too, which were only putting up pictures.
I'm suddenly very curious about how Blogger's languages break down in gneral.

Fascinating!! What an astute observation.
What I find interesting is what people find important enough to post on their sites, and thus what their blogs represent... therein might be another PhD waiting for someone out there (probably already done!!).
