I'm struck by how far we have fallen when some people are willing to choose a man for President simply because he was caught on teevee walking thru the ground up remains of the WTC when in reality, the only reason he was walking thru the dust was because he was stupid enough to put the command center next to the most targeted building in the most targeted city in America.
Is being caught on film as you walk thru WTC dust the only thing a person has to do to get support from wingnuts? they have such low, low standards...
You are absolutely correct in your assessment of The Ghoul Mr. Wendel. But, the truth bundled up like a cudgel is useless if those with the power to wield it are crawling around on all fours looking for a corporate udder to suck instead. The truth about The Ghoul needs to part of the mainstream narrative. Right now it is not. So, just like Kommander Kool Aid's ascencion to his perch of fucked upness, do not be surprised that Rudy is elected in 2008.

All true, but (sad to say) Ghouliani's "winging it" is what made for such dramatic tv footage on that horrible day, i.e. him touring the disaster sites amid the dust and wreckage. I freely admit I was taken in by this act just as many other people were.
And one can't overlook Bush and Cheney's roles in this: If those 2 shitbags hadn't bailed on the nation in such a disgustingly cowardly way, there would have been no leadership vaccum that the media was looking to fill, and Rudy wouldn't have been able to exploit the situation. Wellll...I suspect he would have tried anyway, but he wouldn't have had as much opportunity.
