Do you mean the charming, and "oh-I've never been in the closet," Rachel gets her own show??
FABULOUS.
Matthews' sexist head will EXPLODE on this one.
Even better.
HAH!
IT's karma, folks, all the karma all the time.

Nice work. Tucker really is the penultimate LOSER, and now he is heading for an ignoble obscurity.
Thanks for the reference, and if you want to use the graphic that went along with the "Black Hole" article, feel free. I think it's a helpful visual aid.
I've moved on to Glenn Beck now. He is exhibiting the same drag on Headline News that Tucker does on MSNBC. My analysis (Glenn Beck's Ratings: Headline Snooze) proves that there is simply no business case for keeping Beck on the air. Check it out.

"...the sword of Damocles'" - my weapon of choice in any duel with a closet neocon bitch of Tucker Carlson's ilk.
Been seeing "signs & portents" floating around the ether for the past month or so myself LoLo. Evidence that THERE IS A GOD AND SHE IS PISSED!!!!

"Tucker really is the penultimate LOSER."
The word "penultimate" means next to last--i.e., the penultimate paragraph in an essay; the penultimate line in a poem.
It doesn't mean the most or the extreme level of something.

Something of the group reminds me of the "Save Scooter from jail" crowd. He's our friend so of course the network should keep him on and keep losing money to his unwatchable hour of smirky, petulant crap. Even Chris Matthews with his open embrace of brown nosing and pro-nepotism attitude(while assiduously embracing that he did the "hard way" of becoming a powerful figure's yes man) is more watchable than Tucker.
Rachel Maddow would be quite a breath of fresh air, but I fully expect as the acceptable anti-Bush era comes to a close a year from now, there will be major pushback at MSNBC to take any sort of progressive voice off the air and replace them with any screwball wingnut off the shelf vis a vis fire Donahue and hire Alan Keyes. There will be no free voice that can last for long controlled by a corporate entity no matter how much money he or she makes for them. Donahue was the highest rated show they had when he was fired. And these were the same people that paid for warm bodies to sit in the audience of Dennis Miller's ugly attempt at a talk show?
I predict that if she is not doubling Tucker's numbers by the first month she will be quietly shown the door.

LM-I'm still laughing. I can't stand that little turd. I saw a biography on Jon Stewart last week and they actually showed Turder saying how Stewart had lowered himself to great depths on Crossfire in the famous "you are dicks" show.
Rachel Maddow is great. She's not afraid to call bull shit on anyone, and she's very smart and quick. Isn't she a Rhodes(sp)scholar? She actually knows and studies a subject, unlike most of the so called journalists.
I wait daily to see Mathews head explode. He hates women except in the looks department and he goes so far over the top spit talking about Bush's package and Thompson's manly scent he makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up almost as badly as that creepo greasy John Gibson. His morbid fascination with the Clinton's sex live and Hillary's every breath insane.

Excellent!
Now all we need is for David Shuster to have his own show and maybe for Mike Barnicle to replace Chris Matthews. Speaking of Tweety, is he still shilling for Giuliani or has he chosen a new candidate to suck up?

(Yes, I think I have a crush on her—how perfectly un-attainable.)
You and me both.
You KNOW Jon Stewart knows about this, and you KNOW he's laughing.

Fantastic, hilarious post. Love the graphic at the top, too. Me thinks there will be many of us doing a dance of joy if Rachel gets a primetime show. What sweet justice it would be...

Yes, Rachel *is* a dish.
I could have sworn I'd read that she denied having a show in the works, but now I can't find it in my RSS reader, so maybe (hopefully) I was imagining things.

YAY!!! I've been hoping to see an announcement about Maddow every day since I read that piece on TVNewser.
I actually prefer Tucker to Matthews. At least I can laugh at Tucker, Matthews just makes me want to shoot my teevee. Abrams would be useful if he would just stick to the strickly legal issues. He was very good at the time in opposing the Schiavo bullshit.
