Can someone comment on her delivery? I described McCain the other night as "a coked up ferret that just consumed a gallon of espresso on an empty stomach" and he looked absolutely lethargic by comparison. Was she speeding or was that just sheer terror? I had to mute her a few times because her delivery was so frenetic and jangling. Many, many years ago, I dated a man who did more cocaine that one might think humanly possible, and her speech patterns reminded me of him. I'm not suggesting that Sarah did a few lines before she went out, but holy crap - was that a pharmaceutical reaction or just more of Teh Crazy?

Edited By Siteowner To remove reference to prior link I removed because it went to a site that claimed to be a video of Palin, but in the background, downloaded an executable file. FAIL. --Jesse

Gravatar Jesse, One issue with your comments...your goign to focus on electornic vote stealing??? Look I work in IT security, I know just how frighteningly insecure the debloid crap is (use ot work IT security for a MAJOR bank, their lack of atm security is VERY frightening...). WHile electronic theft may happen a little, its just a distraction...pay attention to the tried and true methods. intimidation, vote cageing, loseing boxes, ect. the debloid machines are jsut a feint.

Gravatar "The problem is that there is a generation of Republican politicians for whom the very idea of broader knowledge is anathema."

and yet.. and yet, those Rethugs are sending their kids to pricey colleges (and keeping them far, far away from military service) and those kids are coming out of those pricey colleges with shit for brains...

I wonder about DNA testing as a requirement for voting... if it turns out they have less in common with the rest of humanity than, oh, say, a pig with lipstick, then maybe we want to throw them back in the gene pool and manage their breeding programs for a while...

Gravatar I had forgotten all about GRIT. My grandmother used to buy it from one of her neighbors who sold it. I think it was mostly just to help the neighbor our. We always laughed about the headlines. To bad this situation is to serious to be laughed at very much.

Gravatar CNN just made McCain cry.

Doubling your opponent on this kind of poll is just awesome. As is the electoral-vote.com map - the jump was so big from one day to the next, I swear I thought it was a glitch.

Has a margin this wide ever been recorded in a post-debate Presidential poll before?

"Undecideds" are vital: most voters will vote for "their" party even if it advocates idol-worship, child-rape & cannibalism "because damn it all, Party X was good enough for my Maw & Paw" or "because I ALWAYS vote for the X ticket" ... so in reality, campaigns are always aiming for that essential 10-15% who can (& do) wait - sometimes literally until they're in the voting-booth - to make up their minds. Love 'em or hate 'em, they are the ones who truly decide who wins.

(in before "bigger than FDR")

Gravatar To make every vote in every state politically relevant and equal in presidential elections, support the National Popular Vote bill.

The National Popular Vote bill would guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states (and DC). The bill would take effect only when enacted by states possessing a majority of the electoral votes (270 of 53. When the bill comes into effect, all the electoral votes from those states would be awarded to the presidential candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states (and DC).

The National Popular Vote bill has been approved by 21 legislative chambers (one house in CO, AR, ME, NC, and WA, and two houses in MD, IL, HI, CA, MA, NJ, RI, and VT). It has been enacted into law in Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey, and Maryland. These states have 50 (19%) of the 270 electoral votes needed to bring this legislation into effect.
