Small-town Americana, huh?
Are the patrons bitter? Do they feel that being called "bitter" is condescending? Do they agree with the MSM that Bitter-Gate is the Most. Important. Issue. EVAR?
Or do they just not give a damn about that petty crap, and actually want someone, ANYONE to stop this country from going completely down the shitter?
Good luck getting the pain meds straightened out, amigo. Pain sucks.

This whole "bitter" thing is such bullshit.
Why isn't anyone saying anything about Hillary having a shot of Crown Royal? How elitist is that? And it's a CANADIAN whisky, for shit's sake! Couldn't she find a good American whisky? Maybe support some American whisky makers? Is this more of her free trade support/non-support flip-flopping?
'Cause in the end, it's just about as significant.

In America, we spell our whiskey with an E.
I gotta give it to Clinton on the whiskey though. Crown Royal is better than Jack Daniels. Though for the nomination she needs to down some Bacardi(Puerto Rico has yet to vote).
If she downs a whole bottle it won't matter that she has no way to the nomination, she will have already won in her mind(before passing out of course).

She didn't finish it. Wotta lightweight.
It doesn't matter, yet. Just giving John McCain enough rope.
Bacon is yer friend. Jesse, good luck.
Conclusive results in Penna or no, Hillary'll live, Barack'll live. We'll all live.

Waffles instead of Maggie's Mess, eh? I've been in a bacon mode lately myself.
So much for avoiding the pie-fights.
Kate Harding has an incredible post up at Shakesville on not surrendering our analysis (or the progressive name) that I'm recommending everywhere I go, at It's Time to Get Obama-Skeptical. Your brain, use it or lose it.
Mostly I've been reading through all the posts out there about the struggle around racism going on, how to name it and define it, in feminist circles, sparked by La Chola's blog being pulled down (one of the best on the web) in response to perceived appropriation of her work by a prominent white woman blogger. I'm thinking hard about what rules we've already accepted for ourselves in this new medium, and how they are already not just misogynistic (I've given up on Daily Kos) but also grinding in racist and classist modes of relating and discourse. Again, Shakesville has an honest response to it all; I'm looking for others to follow suit.
And, here in Texas, the news is completely dominated by the FLDS compound raid and 400 girls being put into foster care.
