Terry McAuliffe is one of the reasons I went off the Clintons a long time ago. Used car salesman anyone?.......... and not a very good one. (Yeah, I know, he's 'huge' at pulling in the $, but for the average punter.... total turnoff).

McAuliffe is so enmeshed in the Boomer BS Machine that he can't comprehend how easy and quick it is for anyone with an Internet connection to fact-check his bogus claim. Like Hillary, he's still stuck in 1992.
The sooner we knock Clinton out of the race, the sooner this disruptive clown joins Penn, Wolfson in becoming irrelevant to the process. Hillary's supporters should remember that they're enabling these K-Street and DLC incompetents, and that their donations are going directly into their pockets.

I have been canvassing in Minneapolis for a green candidate so I am very surprised that the TTTerry's database was done so ass backwards. That makes me think that it was a more top-down based DB and that the insight of seasoned canvassing professionals did not go into preparing it.

AND he is a total Shill for fauxnews now
"It doesn't do you any good," McAuliffe demurred. "You know what - every independent study has said that this is the most biased coverage they have ever seen in a presidential campaign. Clearly it has been a biased media, no question about it. I have said this - Fox has been one of the most responsible in this presidential campaign -- I have said that all along.'' -McAuliffe"

I wasn't very familiar with this asshat before 2004. I found him disgusting then and laughable now. Very sad that anyone considers him a go to guy. I live in Texas, Howard Dean hasn't ignored us! The '92r's wrote us off completely. Thanks, look at the shape we're in. Our biggest threat to Cornyn is Noriega, a guy financed by Swift Boat Bob Perry.

Hubris, you're all over it these days.
And can we please, Jaysus, STOP with the "reach out to her" bullshit?!?
PLEASE???!!!
When she finally packs it in, let HER do the reaching out. Obama has handled her with kid gloves, and bent over backwards to not offend the people ignoring her Karl Rove crap, and her steady rightward movement, and he is STILL on the verge of winning the democratic nomination against a candidate who believed she was the new Papal annunziato, and the voters were the College of Cardinals.
If the "progressives" so diligently ignoring her support for bush's shitmire, and her campaign tactics, and her kissing of John McCain's ass, want to vote for 4 more years of bushCo lies and misery, then let them.
As oil sets new records nearly every day, and with Iraq showing no more "stability" than it has in the past 8 months;
WE WILL TAKE OUR CHANCES WITH THE REST OF THE AMERICAN VOTERS!
(I hope Al Gore, with his neutral, "green" ass, understands this.)

However, the argument that she's "winning" the popular vote is going to be talked about endlessly by the brain-dead pundit class simply because "it's being talked about by people".
It'll be important to counter this nonsense by pointing out that she's "winning" the popular vote contest only if you give Obama 0 votes from MI and discount 4 caucus states that don't provide vote totals.
--------
That is one of the major things about the Clinton machine that is extremely troubling to me.
Harping on a misleading popular vote total in hopes that the media won't counter the truthiness de-legitimizes Obama's win at this point, which is the angle most people are pushing. Pretty troubling on it's own merits. However, another aspect that many people won't see (and indeed I feel that I'm being overly sensitive on this point) is that it's another way of saying Obama is getting something he doesn't deserve or that he's "stolen" the nomination.
As a Black person it really just seems like another racist dog whistle...like he's just another affirmative action case.
Is it just me? Am I too sensitive?

HUGS FOR HUBRIS SONIC!!!!!!!!!
Damn!! I've been pinpointing him for yeeeears as THE problem. I did not get the clinton connection until this campaign and there he was. Now its clear with his and hillary's insanity that they both are the problem and really this is HER bidding. Thank God they've done this in the primary and not the general...... again.
No, its not true she has the popular vote. I mean how in hell, with the apportioned delegates, can she even fix her mouth to say that? Gaaaaah.
And there's going to be a much needed and smackdown. The clintons are going to push this to a smackdown. Sooner, say in early March would have been better, but okay. Every word they speak makes it that much harder a smack this will require.
Insanity..... Drugs..... I don't know they need Chuck Barris' gong here and a biiiiiiig hook. O.V.E.R Its got to be over.
WV and KY voted for Bill Clinton last week and today. That's why Obama didn't contest there. That would have to have been part of the rhetoric there and Clinton's camp wants them to stop saying "politics of the past". Plus, they voted for bush which one could then argue Hillary is therefor..... a republican.
I question anyone who is speaking for her at this point. Not just mcauliff but all her surrogates. Are they fucking just stupid? They for sure lack ANY integrity. She has no standing. I seriously do think mcauliff is on something. HAS to be. Prescription or otherwise, he's ON something.
Make it stop. feh.

By the by...since she's pushing this bogus popular vote angle there should be no argument from her camp for Obama declaring victory before all the nom contests have concluded.

Gozer - I don't think you're being too sensitive at all. When she first came out and refused to acknowlege that Obama was ahead in the pledged and all the talk of offering the lead person the second spot on her ticket........ I called that shit racist. When she's says shit like this, the ONLY way it can be true is if she counts Obama's votes as 2/3 of a vote. And when she says "He CAN'T win" ....... she's saying "because he's black". She IS saying these things in so many ways. I've never gone around assigning "racist" willy nilly like, because I'm not all that qualified. BUT THIS...... this is racist shit with just enough plausible deniability to cover. Its bullshit. I see it plain as day. It's indefensible what she's doing.
Shameful.

Can't everyone see that Obama's a NI--!!
Seems to be the main "stratergy" of the Hillary campaign.
These are exactly the people we DON'T want to see inherit Bush's "imperial presidency" -- am I right?

Ceab,; right as a snake. :o)
And, on a more serious note, I REALLY, REALLY, want Obama and his people to consider carefully whether or not they need to kiss Hillary's ass with anything more than the de riguer bullshit about her running a great campaign.
I'm at the point that I think that if they refuse to do the Hiney-lick maneuver on her, by NOT paying the bills that she ran up while she dragged the primary process to the right and toodled at Obama so diligently on the racist dogwhistle, and by not offering her the veep spot, or a cabinet position...
would so many of her "progressive" supporters bolt to McCain, or just sit out the election, that independents and moderate democrats wouldn't respect him for not playing politics as usual and caving to a candidate who clearly was willing to stoop to any level, any dirty trick, to win the nomination, and whom they cordially hate, anyway, to the point that they would not make up the difference and them some?
I mean, we are looking at an election where the old factors and values are not a given, by a damn site. Oil is breaking new records almost daily, and Iraq shows not the slightest sign of "stabilizing". With the way things are going, I think that 5 months and two weeks from now, Obama is going to make political history, with or without the great triangulator.
I say we go for it. :o)
(And incidentally, tell Hillary that McCain's looking for a veep. He's such great Commander-in-Chief material that she'd probably be happier with him, anyway. :o) )

mcauliff looks like he's saying "see, I've go twenty fingers. See for yourself, they're right here... twenty".
Or....
"It was thiiiiiiiis biggggg (meaning the joint he smoked just before hitting the stage)
or.....
the more likely fishing story. Which this is.
The DNC needs to shut them down for this popular vote shit.
Final straw.

popular vote? when i first heard that i was more than a bit taken aback. then i realized that she was counting the votes of michigan and florida which were supposed to be no contest states and were treated as such by every other candidate.
all this proves is that hillary can win when she's unopposed.
i'm tired of it all.
that's why i've been spending so much more time in the kitchen.

As someone who ran the database for a small election and who was tasked to produce breakdowns by district and street for that purpose (I think we called ours "canvassing lists") and who figured out early on that addresses in, say, France were not relevant for canvassing, I have to say that whoever sorted your voters by first name not only doesn't know (or wasn't told) what a walk list is for, but probably doesn't know what a database is and may have used the phone book for all you know.
(And just so you know: sorting by address number when that isn't a separate field? is a bitch kitty. Grumble.)

No it was from DemZilla via the Kerry campaign, via the DNC. in this case.
point being a big database, no matter how it can be sorted, isnt worth shit if you can't get it into the hands of your workers.

I'd never seen him "in action" until Monday, c/o the mighty YouTube - & what I saw was literally hair-raising. He was arguing passionately with Chris Matthews, despite the fact that Matthews was AGREEING with him. Presumably he'd used his political genius to reason that a vitriolic stance toward the evil MSM pundit would make him look noble &/or virtuous - instead it made him look utterly batshit insane. I know folks get a bit frenzied in campaigns & at rallies, but that was just straight-up creepy as hell.
I concur - I'm not a gambler & I'll wager the contents of my wallet that he's DEFINITELY on something, & it's not anything as relatively innocuous as a big fat joint either.
If he's what HRC has for expertise in her corner, I'm hardly shocked that she's blown a huge lead. The man is not on speaking terms with reality & it shows. Question being: if this is who she opts to take her political advice from, does she belong in the position of C-in-C?
