I was pretty sure Webb was the guy, shows what I know. In a lot of ways I think Rendell is a stronger candidate. Think "capable manager" rather than "war hero". Because honestly, which do we need more?

Gravatar Sigh. Yawn.

Some things, ya just gotta let play out.

The VP pick, at this point, is pure fantasy gaming.

This blog could cover more serious and immediate issues further in depth, and spare the readers guesswork on things NONE of us can really analyze at this point.

Please.

Harumph.

Gravatar larue, whatever.
stop trying to control the dialog. no interest, that's cool... then don't bother to read or comment. I am interested in the VP pick and there has been some great discussion on those threads... so- skip them if you like but stop being such a storm cloud. (please)

Gravatar LHG, sorry to say it, but I tend to agree with larue.

That having been said ...

I'm also one of those rare people who thinks that an Obama/Clinton ticket might not be a bad thing.

Buskertype, the idea of an Obama/Clinton ticket scares the hell out of me.

In the first place, she is spectacularly unpopular on both sides of the fence right now.

In the second place, I think her manifest obsession with the Presidency should disqualify her from selection as a running mate in a heartbeat. She would never really be content with the second string position, and that's what a VP has to deal with. Unless that VP is Dick Cheney.

Gravatar I would take it more to heart if it didn't feel like trying to control the conversation. Anyway, I am interested... and I learn a lot from posing the vp questions to everyone so for now... I have a few more planned.

Gravatar still like richardson or clark, no idea who he will pick, but those are my faviroits.

Gravatar edwwards ahs supposedly ptu himslef back in the running...if that is true I ahve a new favorit

Gravatar I think Clark is basically off the list at this point. I don't think the spin that he was impugning McCain's service was fair (or remotely correct), but it has hardened into conventional wisdom. That nonsense, coupled with the perception that he isn't much of a campaigner, is likely the end of that possibility.
