It's pretty funny that they would try to intimidate a lawyer of all people using a strongly worded letter.

Catch him by the toe? More like a noose around his porcine neck.

no, no, no folks. hold the fucking nooses, and talk of nooses. the only fit remedy for these guys is the fair, and open trials, in the hague if our own system has been too degraded after eight years of ratfucking, if need be.
laws, not men. that is what needs to rule here.
arrest them, hell yes, even give them a cellie with one ear named turk if that's what gives you happy thoughts.
but they have to be tried. and tried fairly and openly if we are to stand a chance of ever getting back the things they have sullied.

What Minstrel Boy said.
Besides, pink underoos and hard labor would do Mr. Rove and his associates a world of good.
Might change his tune on a few prison-related issues.

Sweat's mostly water last time I checked.
That depends; sweat from the armpits contains fat that produces that wonderful odor. And Uncle Karl reminds me of nothing if not a giant fat cell.
With the dollar doing a nose-dive, I wonder what Luskin’s going rate is today?
Karl (on the phone); “What? You want what? FIFTY GOLD BARS? I don’t have 50 gold bars! How would you like to be a judge? I can make you a judge, OK? Or maybe a governor? What do you mean, that’s how I got into trouble to begin with?”

Minstrel, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to use the rope in that way, but to restrain the porker (he might be greasy enough to slip out of handcuffs).
If I recall, one of the indictments at Nuremburg was Conspiracy to Seize Power. I think Rove's role certainly applies.
Again, I apologize.

Hmmm, the image I have of Rove that fat fuck is now of the movie "Deliverance"...."Squeal like a pig..."

Reading Rove's letter, now I truly can believe he is/was "Bush's Brain" ... a monument to moral bankruptcy & intellectual deficit truly worthy of the man who wrote it.
I'm betting he's guilty as sin, & terrified of certain tapes (that may or may not even exist) being leaked on a slow news day.
That's the problem with being a con-artist: the power is seductive, but then it sort of steals your sense of relaxation & safety - forever. You can never be sure somebody you burned long ago isn't waiting for you with a handgun right around the next corner - or getting ready to take a hacksaw blade to your car's brake-lines while you sleep.

What the "Base" needs is a 24/7 news cycle of GOP criminality on parade, for the next several years.

I kinda like assigning Rove and his minions to street sweeping, say, New Orleans. Given the "prompt" response by the Bushies, that job should take them quite a few years.
