First car was a 64 Olds F-85. A little longer than a Mustang, high compression 330 ci V8, three on the tree, posi-trac rear end. Wasn't much to look at, but it screamed.

That ol' F-85 would eventually be folded into the Cutlass (The same way Pontiac would fold the Tempest and Ventura into the GTO line) line. Of course, that package you're talking abiout is pretty much a proto-Olds 442.
Sounds like that machine was a monster straight-on and probably kicked ass in the “quarter”.
Lord, don't get me going about muscle cars...

I loves me some Detroit heavy metal too. The great but tragically flawed John DeLorean was responsible for my three favorite Pontiac designs: the '68 Firebird, the first generation GTO, and the second generation GTO/LeMans/Tempest, which eventually the other divisions picked up as the Buick Skylark, Chevy Malibu, and Olds Cutlass. Good times, the GM 350 engine and gas at 25 cents a gallon, never to return.

My neighbor was just telling me last night about the Hudson, that it could really haul for its time, over 100 mph. One of his friends had two of them stolen over a period of a few months.

Ford Mustang 1964 1/2 - 1968 will do it for me. Yes, not a muscle car, but nothing like riding down highway 1 down from San Francisco while listening to Metallica and riding one of those babies!!!
