LM-
Just a little antecedent problem--
you and your stepson both have crushes on Rachel Maddow, right? Not you having a crush on Rachel Maddow as well as having one on your stepson.
Other than that, good post as always.

We can all hope.
I will turn it to Chris Matthews show and tolerate the yelling, stupid references and 20 minute segments on body language, but as soon as Tucker's sneering face comes on everyone races one another to turn the channel or shut the TV off entirely. That is not the sort of reaction the network is looking for I would tend to guess. Hell, I'll watch the Tucker show as long as he isn't there. Norah O'Donnell isn't what I'd call a stellar journalist but she is good looking and she ISNT Tucker.
As for Keith Olbermann, he is his show and when he has fill-ins it isn't worth watching.

Lm,
One of the things that really pisses me off about Matthews, other than his personal psychoses on display for the world is his constant cheerleading for a real brokered convention. "Where the guys go in a back room and cut deals and pick the nominee. Those days were great."
Yeah, cut the actual fucking voters out of the process altogether. Fuck you Tweety, and the horse you rode in on.

Tweety is in that class of soon-to-be-dead and out of power OWG who thought of themselves as Big Swingin' Dicks, but now see the hand writing on the sociocultural/political wall (Blacks & Women & Hispanics - Oh My!!!)and know for certain that there's a Bobbiting in their future.

Holy crap now THAT is a blog POST.

I am not crying (pardon the pun) over the terrible treatment of Hillary in the media - bad publicity is better than no publicity for a presidential candidate, and a smart one can spin it to her(his) advantage.
I am more worried of the media focusing exclusively on the terrible two some, HilarObama-inator, and totally ignoring Kucinich, Gravel and now even trying to marginalize Edwards, whom I like best from the top tier candidates.
I mean the networks blatantly discriminate against Kucinich, for example, by not inviting him for debates.
I know, I know - what, does he think he is running for president or something?

LM, that was great. More inside dirt, please. Us rubes out in the sticks stare at the boneheaded morons on our teevees and wonder: what the hell? Who puts these idiots on the air? And still, Tucker and Tweety warm chairs in front of cameras. (Or, in the case of Tucker, maybe not so much warm and chair-borne anymore!)
You're giving us an idea of what's going on inside the beast's belly. That's pretty cool.
Here's hoping for a Tucker Carlson nationwide tour in dinner-theater. And a Rachel Maddow prime-time MSNBC show.

"He couldn't give away free copies of it at a lopsided table convention." ROTFLMAO It's reached the point where MSNBC just ought to call his show The He-Man Woman Haters Club and cue the Little Rascals theme...
I must also confess to a crush on Rachel Maddow.

Props for the Kids in the Hall reference . One of my favourite shows growing up - definitely influenced my twisted sense of humour.
Riffing on the KITH theme:
Maybe Chris and Tucker are "Girl Drink Drunk"
http://youtube.com/watch?v=epa5YZIJU8I
Chris and Tucker are just as misogynistic as Cabbage Head

Was Chris perhaps scarred by the chicken lady?

Tucker is a good-looking guy, but he totally ruins by being a total freaking dork. And Matthews? I'm sure even when he was in his 20's and 30's, he made women his age go "Eeyew!" which may explain his apparent personal issues with women.

jim:
I don't know if you were around when I was dissing on somebody named Jim a while back, but if you were, it totally wasn't directed at you. We have a butt-st00pid troll named Jim who pops in and screams his ignorance from time to time; so if that guy ever comes back, you might want to change your screen-name to "smart jim" or something to that effect so that we can tell the difference.
Then again, the contents of the comments would make that pretty obvious, wouldn't it?

LM,
You certainly know how to turn a phrase. "Minus In The Morning" is priceless.
Rachel Maddow is too quick for all the boys at MSNBC, except maybe Keith Olbermann.

Yeah well, this little old lesbian granny has a crush on YOU! Great analysis, as always. I LIVE for your posts on The News Blog. OK, maybe not LIVE for them, but they're awesome and when there's a new one up it makes my day.
