the room set up is my fault. not this lovely hotel.
I asked for one 1st floor room for sara, who was the only one I thought who needed that... my bad.
also the tech issue seems not a wireless prob. as we had other probs too. BUT our first day here we had perfect wireless and wired connect. hopefully will be solved in the am.
anyway, I love the hotel.

teh tech problem is a capacity issue, they are not use to this many people onlie at once and your collging the tubes. Not much they an do...we have this issue at gencon every year (that many geeks in one hotle is a bad thing) thsi year we are goign to setup our own mesh network to limit the shear numebr of connections...that may be an idea for netroots next year. We do soemthign very similar at blackaht.
Moonglum, we gnb'ers opted out of staying in the convention hotel. I am a big proponent of supporting small privately owned businesses where I can, and there is a gorgeous little hotel less than 10 minutes from the convention center hotel. BUT I do think they are having tech issues.
The told me they were working on it this morning.

Hmm, if it's the hotel I think it is, it's a nice funky place, but I didn't know they had wifi.
