Gravatar Hear hear!

One of the pieces I'm most proud of writing, ever, was at The News Blog and called "Look What We Can Do!". Every illustration in that piece is clickable, and the photos are simply beautiful.

Go NASA go! You rock me to the planets and the depths of interplantary space, baby.

Gravatar Now THAT'S cool, in the classic sense of the word. Congratulations to the engineers at NASA and other international agencies involved in this achievement.

Gravatar mars, bitches!

Gravatar Looks like they managed to dodge the great galactic ghoul.

Gravatar I adore this stuff! I worked at Vandenberg afb on the shuttle launch team before they scraped that west coast launch. It was my first computer job

The space program was must see teevee at our house back then. Can't wait for the first photos! Cool 8-)

Gravatar I grew up watching the space program, and recall watching on live TV Neil Armstrong's first steps on the Moon. So last night's landing satisfied my technogeek soul very nicely.

Some may question the cost (about half a billion) but that's still less than what we spend in Iraq in about 3 days.

And if evidence of life is found on Mars (even if it's ancient, past evidence) you can count on at least some fundies' heads exploding. That will be sweetest music to my ears.

By the way, did you know that an actual audio signal was detected by the lander? It said, "Ooh, you parked your vehicle on my driveway. That makes me very angry - very angry indeed."
