Thanks for the global warming link.....I've been searching for answers and have been reading so many opposing views that I didn't know what to believe anymore.
Now its time for the liberal hippy envrironmentalists to quit worrying about the world and concentrate on our own coastlines where we can really make a difference. What is more worriesome than global warming is the state of our oceans, and the sludge being poured into them.
I know you surf Froggy, so I know that the ocean is as important to you as it is to me.....I know I rambled a bit...thanks again for the link. -Dan

No wonder they can't accomplish anything in Congers. They speechify too much.

Glad to have you back. Even though I caught your posts at BlackFive, I refused to take you of my favorites list. It is certainly hard to keep up the family/work pace and find time for anything else, much less blogging. I am always amazed at the amount of time that some of my favorite bloggers must spend to keep their websites relevent. However, as far as I know none have quit their day jobs yet so it must not be overly profitable.

Sorry, hit the wrong button and accidently posted. At any rate glad to have you back. And remember, if the military could harness the psyops capability the average five year old our enemies would stand a chance.

Dan, the folks at www.climateaudit.org are pretty honest and pleasant to deal with. They're mostly interested in checking the mathematics behind studies. It's surprising how often blatant mathematical mistakes are made in published papers. Inappropriate or Inappropriately applied methods are also common.

Global wariming is a reality. There are a wide range of reasons as to why this may be happening, but there is no doubt that the polar ice cap is melting, and that the oceans are rising. The thing that bothers me most about the "Conservative" view on global warming is that it denies this reality. Rather than looking to science to see analize the reasons behind this fact, they deny it is even a reality.
The truth is, the ice is melting, and that major shifts in the ice caps and breakage could occure sometime during our life span, which historically causes the ocean to rise up to 10 feet. In simple terms, there are a lot of very serious scientists who believe the ice caps may be resembling the characeristics of shaved ice more than that of a colid block. It is time that we got serious about this issue.

How does Scotty feel now that BUSHCO has signed on the the fact that global warming is 1) A reality, and 2) Caused by man.

i'm a little confused about your politics. why, exactly, do you seem to lump environmentalism with anti-war with "america hating?" the pentagon seems concerned enough re: global warming to draft extensive plans for military redeployments should rapid climate change occur. smart policymaking should consist of carefully weighing costs and risks, not sticking to hackneyed, partisan diatribes. to say that caution is like america-bashing is just plain stupid, and plenty unpatriotic in its own fine way.
