Yay!
Let the movement snowball! Every little bit helps. Inshallah, soon we'll have an entire digital library of works that will be available to teachers and students.

I used to have boxes of Filipino Literature books. Hardbounds, paperbacks even school textbooks. Heck, I even have a collection of pages of short stories torn from Liwayway. But as a consequence of my divorce I moved a lot and didn't have a permanent place to store my things. I left my books at a friend's garage and forgot about them. When I got a little more settled I looked all over for my books and was unable to find them. Years later, somebody reminded where I had left them , but unfortunately my friend had already thrown them away, thinking that I didn't want them anymore. Two titles I remember are: "Maynila Sa Mga Kuko Ng Liwanag " and a collection of short stories titled " Mga Agos Sa Disyerto" I haven't read any tagalog book since then and I have mostly forgotten about my ill-fated collection. I didn't realize how much I had missed them.
Until I read your post. Now I feel sad about my lost and, though not bitter , somewhat disconsolate that people don't realize the true value of books.
You write very well and I suppose I should thank you.
