Either that (CCTV and more police) or they allow all citizens to carry guns. That way, I can protect myself and not have to rely on the government to protect me from fetuses turned criminals.
So yeah, pro-life is ok as long as those pro-lifers are also pro-gun.
The current formula-pro-life and anti-gun, as is the current policy, is a formula for disaster. This is so because fetuses turned criminals can use their numbers to nip at the bud of defenseless, gunless middle and upper class. But if they let middle and upper classes arm themselves, I don't see why population mismanagement would be such a problem.
Except of course when it comes to waiting in line in government offices. But these are minor problems that can be solved by science.

Well, abortion is still murder right? I don't mind what the poor do with their fetus. If they want to have 10 poor kids that's fine by me.
For as long as they must recognize that other people have rights to property and to associate, I'll tolerate pro-lifers.
So if in our subdivision, the homeowners form an association and decide to protect our mansions with a big wall and armed security guards, then those poor little poor critters and their parents must know we can shoot those poor little beggars if they trespass our property.
The only problem of course is when I and those little poor kids are on common public property, like public highways. Or when those kids grow up to become robbers in MRT and public roads.
The solution for this of course, is for more police and CCTV cameras. That way, I'll feel safe knowing that those poor fetuses turned criminals will know that the government can catch them if they decide to harm my person.

the poor in this country are defined as the 80% percent of the population who are below the poverty line. of course government denies this by insisting that there are only about 20 or 30% below the poverty line. and they're able to do this be re-defining poverty: hindi raw mahirap ang kumakain lang ng isang beses isang araw. ok pa raw ang mga pamilyang nagugutom at nanlilimos. ;P
it's in this sector that families continue to grow and children are had by women almost yearly. because they don't know any better, or have no money -- therefore no choice -- to imagine it can be otherwise.

r.o.,
the salaried middle class is the government's biggest tax base. most of the basics - are vat exempt.
on top of paying income tax, we also have to pay vat.
jeg,
oh yeah. they have some brilliant spinmeisters. they probably borrowed those of la gloria.

Ive noticed that the bishops have acquired the skills for waging a propaganda war. In interviews, they refer to the bill not by its name, calling it the 'anti-life bill' or 'anti-family bill' instead.
