They have refined taste and read music reviews and discuss cover songs and who knows what else.

Pfft, please. The only reason I listen to good music is because Kat! sends it to me.

Also! Rainbow Connection is one of the greatest songs ever. E-VER.

I love when I open up my inbox of a morning and there is new music from Kat!

Also, I have had Rainbow Connection (as sung by Andy Bernard) stuck in my head all morning.

(Also, I need to stop saying "also" so much)

You can never say also too much.

Also, what Jennie said.

Also, have you seen the Girls Next Door when they're in Italy and Kendra is like, "this food is alright, but have you ever been to Olive Garden??"

Also, you're only right about me if by "soul-affecting" you mean American Idol.

i also own every backstreet boys album, but only the ones before kevin left the band. so i guess that's not every backstreet boys album, is it?

also i have seen the backstreet boys in concert.

The Tiger Rag will always be one of my favorites. And you're right, there's no way to describe how a team's fight song makes your body and mind meld into a completely exhilerating experience.

Secret: I am a closeted Celine Dion fan. I always listen to her when I'm alone on long car trips (her and Fergie).

While my musical choices are not really known to the Collective, I can say that I have seen the Backstreet Boys in concert 3 times. Only beaten out recently by Matchbox 20.

And as for AC/DC, um, yeah, Back in Black is my ringtone.

I think your choices are TOTALLY acceptable.

You have Kermit the Frog and AC/DC in the same list. From Amphibian muppet to Australian metal. I believe that qualifies for diversity in taste.

My son, Grayson, has had his sweet loyalty to the Backstreet Boys mercilessly teased out of him by his peers, who, with no awareness of the irony in their position, think it's cool to like the Jonas Brothers instead.

Gray already likes you on account of your basketball-ness, but now? I'm afraid he may propose.

No one can criticize anyone's musical preferences. That's obviously not really true, but no one should criticize anyone's musical preferences. To do so misses the point.

De gustibus non disputandum est.

I love all of the songs you listed except the one of which I've not heard. Rainbow Connection has been a favorite for many years. I do, in fact, a very good Kermit the From impersonation. It would be impossible to demonstrate this here, but it's true.

Hello, Collective.

Kermit the From is what we call Kermit the Frog around here.

Oops.
