Hi! Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world! To answer your question - so far so good on our counter tops! We used about 5 coats of Minwax Polycrylic (in gloss) sanding lightly between coats. I'm sure this is not a forever treatment but I do think that as long as we're careful about cutting, etc. (and I really don't want to prepare food directly on the surface anyway), we'll have a nice finish that holds up well.
