I too lament.
Fires in S. GA have extended into 4 counties. We are looking at over 100 miles burned. Without rain, the fires are expected to burn for another week or more. Smoke fills the air and ash snows constantly. Follow my link to see more info.
I just hadn't extended my thinking all the way to our entire economy, though. What a state of affairs we are in.
I will join you in prayer.

On one of my posts I have been doing about a twice daily update on all of the fires including pictures, videos, and news from a variety of local sources.
I have included a link to this post, if you don't mind, because I felt a deep spirit here that I want others to read, share, and understand.

Oh friend, I saw the news about the fires. I had heard the drought was bad really bad. Prayers for the farmers, the loggers, those who have lived on the land a long time, and have worked the land a long time. Prayers for the economy.
In the meantime it is posts like this and others, that lead me to nominate you for the thinking blogger award

Heard about the fires, and was wondering if you were OK. Having lived on the west coast for the better part of 12 years, I know how it goes with wildfires. :/ You can lose everything in an instant.
Prayers for all involved. I have a feeling it's going to be a brutal summer for a lot of people.
