The first computer I ever touched was a TRS-80 Model 1, which belonged to a friend. The first computer I ever owned was a Commodore Vic20, which I got for Christmas in 1982 & still have (in storage, but it worked the last time I hooked it up).
The first PC I had, I also came by through marriage, though my hubby and I were engaged when we bought it. That was 11 years and (I think) five computers ago. When we finally ditched the dinosaur (which we'd been letting our daughter use), we gutted the case & kept the Pentium 120 processor for a Christmas tree ornament. :-D
