I hope this gives the family some sort of closure. That poor mother.
It sounds like you are exactly right - he's only sorry for being caught.

I'm glad that the judge came down hard and will continue to keep Molly and her family in my prayers.

That judge is amazing and even though I don't know the full story or what exactly happened, he stil deserves a fat hug. For once a judge gave a harsh penality and not a slap on the wrist. I'm so tired of offenders getting nothing but a hand slap and then the look of shock when they are caught doing the same thing over and over. That is awesome and I will say a prayer for the family of the lost boy.

I simply cannot imagine, I really hope that this family is receiving some sense of closure.
That Judge definitely deserves a big hug (as Beckie said above!) I love it when a Judge actually does their job rather than just dance around it.

(Looks like you left his last name in the last bit there)
This judge is my new hero, too. Gotta love when justice really comes through. It doesn't bring Ryan back and Molly certainly still has a lot to still suffer. But at least there is some sense of justice.

I'm always amazed at how "sorry" they are AFTER they're caught. If they were so "sorry", they wouldn't have done it in the first place.

That must have been awful for that family! I can't imagine what that woman is going through. Hopefully she has found peace with this decision.

Well, hooray for Judge Atkinson. It is so refreshing to see someone make a decision that has some punch to it.
Although it's really sad to consider his decision refreshing. It should happen ALL THE TIME.
Dreamer.
Many prayers for the Rockstroh family.

This is powerful stuff. Thank you for posting this excerpt (and for your inserted comments, which are probably what everyone is thinking and only you have the guts to say!) I love the judge's statement, and hope that harsher sentencing does in fact deter other dealers.
I'll pray for Molly.

How awful. I'm glad they got that judge, totally my new hero! I hate those "heartfelt" apologies that people give only AFTER they're caught. They're not sorry, just sorry they were busted. Grr!

I sincerely hope this gives Molly some sort of closure. I know nothing came bring Ryan back, but hopefully there is some satisfaction in seeing this terrible person punished for his part in it, as well as his continuing activity that put OTHER teens at risk.
You're right. The judge is my hero too. Too often, they are too soft these days.

Molly is a past teacher of mine, and my heart goes out to her and her family. I have not had contact with her since I graduated, but she honestly was the most amazing teacher that I had in high school. She taught me way more about life than just Calculus! She does not know it, but I continue to think of both her and her family on a daily basis. My thoughts and prayers remain with the Rockstroh Family.
