That sounds like a fantastic weekend! Can I be a part of your family?! I didn't realize there were really cool families out there who actually did all this stuff!
I wish our family was like that. I always like to plan events and come up with all these great ideas and nobody ever wants to do anything.
I hope I can instill some fun into my children and when they grow up, maybe they'll do these kinds of events with me!

Very cool- Our extended family can only handle each other for a Christmas party every year- we are also a big brood as my dad has 12 siblings- but we could learn something from your events!
You know what, Julie? Your comment makes me realize that we really are lucky. Often times, people do their best to fire people up for something fun but are met with blank stares. Thanks for making me conscious of the fact that this is really something special, and we are really fortunate to be part of it. You will never be sorry if you start these traditions with your own kids; good luck!

Your pictures made me feel all warm and fuzzy. My husband comes from a very large family, so I get to enjoy them once a year.

Our family reunions aren't nearly as much fun. We mostly sit around and tell wild, exaggerated stories. My brothers and I are pretty much the only musically inclined members, so we don't encourage singing as we only know so many songs that we can also play on our guitars. I think I'll adopt your family.

I love your family reunions! I want to be invited! We can't seem to get my brothers and sisters together very often, but my kids and their kids are beginning new traditions and new plans for reunions. Yours are inspiring.

Can I please be a member of your family? Or at least come to your reunion. We went to ours (mothers family) this past weekend and spent two hours walking the park trying to find out which shelter was ours, the sent our invites with the wrong number on it. It was a long long long day. Yours sounds so much more enjoyable!!
Glad you had a great time! Thats some great toe writing too! YOu should be proud! Right now my kids only seem to have the talent my husband has at flatulence. LMAO, but they are only 2 and 2 months.

We rent Camp Wabunsi, in Dykesville, WI (Door County)
This is the sis in AK, and on that side of the family there are still LOTS of folks missing. One year we had over 100. I came with hubby and 3 of our 8 kids, no inlaws, and none of the 23 grandkids, so you can imagine how big this family is, and that is JUST mom's side! I think we have 48 first cousins total.... Thanks for the reminder that we are really blessed!!! Wish I coulda been there...
Oh my, I just listened to Jeanie's song! I always love her singing, but this is my fave so far. Way to go Jeanie, and Barb, just beautiful!!!
