Heh, decadent and rebellious using more than 4 squares of toilet paper...right there with you! (though I tell the Princess Nagger to use 4 squares...you know, because those times that she tries to use the whole roll really messes up the flushing of the toilet.) 
Ugh! Dentists and Novocaine and flashbacks are not fun. Sorry you had to go through that!

Sorry about the flashback and panic attack. No fun at all.
I have been there. Not with novocaine, but with the weather. When we lived in Guam, we were hit with the worst supertyphoon on record. It was devastating. Nine months and a move to Virginia Beach later, we were hit with Hurricane Isabelle. I was driving down the road and the same sort of thing happened to me. I had to pull over and cry it out.

Yeah, now that I see that popcorn-with-a-spoon thing AND the panic attack, I begin to see a pattern of mental illness that needs addressing. But how do I spend MORE time blogging than I already do? I think I will ask my doctor for a prescription to stay home year-round and just write.

I am so sorry about the incident in the dentist chair. I have Panic Disorder and am about to embark on dental work and I had to warn my dentist that I have issues. You did good and there is no shame in being human and vulnerable.

Sorry the dentist appointment became so traumatic! I've had problems with dentist visits myself, but my panicky moments came from memories of past dentist visits.

Whoa...the dentist and the novacaine thing...how freaky. You know, if they hit the wrong nerve it can certainly leave you numb. My jaw was once numb for a week. I made a return visit to the dentist and learned that on rare occasion....the feeling can be destroyed forever!!

You need to eat the White Cheddar Smart Balance popcorn, it won't stain your fingers orange and it is DELICIOUS! I always gobble it up when I go home.

I am SO sorry to hear about the dentist panic attack incident. That sounds just awful. I've had a similar attack in the past, and that feeling is terrible.
