Dirt isn't a foreign substance--it's a part of the playing field.

Even if it was a foreign substance, it was gone after the 1st inning. We still couldn't touch him for seven more innings. I think that is more worrysome than the one inning he pitched with "something" on his hand.

The dirt excuse is lame and not believable. And I think you should take a look at the back of his hat to the left of the MLB seal. There was clearly some kind of substance back there (and I noticed this in the seventh inning) that he kept rubbing his hand over throughout the game.
Also, McCarver noted that it was extremely odd that Rogers didn't take his glove off in the dugout to shake hands with any of his team mates.
This is definitely suspicious, we gotta check this guy out.
Try to find video of him pitching last night and check out the back of his hat. It's there.

Grow up, little boys. The umpires checked it out, it was gone after the first inning, and your weak little Redbirds couldn't touch him.
(No, not remotely a Tigers fan, just an unbiased observer and baseball fan.)

|Amazing how KRs pitching abilities went downhill and Detroit started losing after Rogers cleaned up! I'm glad St. Louis caught on. I guess they deseved to win the Series for being estute. I just feel bad for the Yankees (and all of the other teams that Detroit faced)that got gyped out o a chance to advance further in the playoffs if not win.
I wonder how Kennys pitching will look next year?!?!??
