Gravatar Good stuff. I have been reading on how much our taxes would go up - not definite figures - just things like, "it will be the largest tax increase in the history of the U.S." That's enough to scare me from voting for any Democrat.

I watched part of the Dem debate last night - I was just skimming and something caught my attention - LOL. It was the exchange between the two on Health Care.

I think it's wrong for Hillary to want to make everyone participate. The government already garnishes our wages for Social Security - and if she gets her way - they will basically be garnishing our wages for universal health care too. She stated that unless there was MANDATORY participation - like with SS - it would not work. Oh boy.

But if the Dems take the White House in December - we "rich" people (I am always baffled by how they define rich) - better watch our wallets and our bank accounts - because the contents of both will SHRINK.

Gravatar Was expecting your annual Oscar rant...

Gravatar Is it just me? I get SO offended every time Michelle Obama or some columnist goes on about how astonished they are to be seeing a black man rise so high IN THEIR LIFETIME! WTF!!! What if I said something similar...how astonished I am that a black man was able to overcome his...uh, blackness...and actually make something of himself? Where do these people come from that they actually think things such as race matter to a majority of the thinking people in this country? It's all about policy. I wouldn't vote for the man if he looked like George Clooney.

Gravatar We've been hearing (for years) how racist we all are ... of course, we white people can't know, since you have to be black to actuallye experience the racism.

Someone, somewhere raised a really interesting point about Michelle Obama and her (as well as other black people's) viewpoint regarding how hard she had to struggle, as a black person, to get where she is today. Law school or whatever. How does SHE know how hard or easy it is for everyone else to get through law school? She doesn't. She can't judge that her struggles were any different from anyone else's.

Gravatar I get SO tired of the "race card." I, too, could care less what color someone is - and I've heard a thousand times that the reason the pundits have been so off on their primary predictions is because the white people won't admit that they are not voting for Obama. @@ WHAT?? Hillary is white and I wouldn't vote for her either - and I'm a woman - so supposedly I should be for her and just gush over her. @@

I agree that most thinking people want to know ideas, plans, stands on important issues, etc. I don't care if the candidate is a man or woman, white or black or green - that's not what decides for me.

And I'm tired of everyone making a big deal out it!
