Noooooo..... you can check back next tuesday if you want to see what i mean by "sacrifice" though.
Can you elaborate? What kind of sacrifice? Is this something you do yourself? I'm eerily curious.
70 days after ramadan is over there is a holiday call Eid al adha. this is the time when the pilgrims make there way to Mecca. During this time (it last 4 days) in the first 2 days you are suppose to make a sacrifice if you can. that means anything you can eat should be killed in the name of god, be it a chicken, sheep or cow. you do this by saying Bismillah ir rahman ir rahim,(in the name of god, the compassionate, the merciful) slicing the animals throat while saying allahu akbar.(god is great) the animal is then butchered up, and divided. keeping one third for family, giving away one third for friends, and giving one third to the poor. we had two sheep because i had a baby as well and you should do a sacrifice if you can when you have a child. On this day my mother in law and her sisters did a cow too.
