Cassie I feel for you. Being a mother does change your outlook on life tremendously. As we get older(which sometimes sucks)(sometimes not) we realize how short life is. Live for today, cherish your family and friends and never never go to bed mad, always tell them you love them even if you hate them at the moment, and it's ok to stop your car to see if your sleeping infant is really breathing, or waking them when it took you 2 hours to get them to sleep! See Cassie being ANAL isn't all that bad! I love you, you will get throught this. Kiss the baby!

Wow... what a touching post. I completely understand your changing once you had a baby of your own. Once my daughter was born and in the world I became upset very quickly over any mistreatment of a child or show that depicted a child dying or sick or being harmed etc. I break down in tears everytime I open the newspaper and read about horrible things done to children by their own parents etc. and I never used to get so emotional over such things. I think my heart finally kicked into high gear when I finally had a child of my own. When you see or read such things you are forced to wonder 'what if that was happening to my child' and it really puts life into a whole new perspective. (newcomer to your site and I adore it) I'm sorry about the hellish night you had in regards to the baby passing away. The family is in my prayers... I can't imagine anything worse in life then losing your little one.
Everything changes when you become a mother, or a father for that matter. God bless that family and thank you (all of you) for doing what you do.
I can't even imagine how that must have felt for you. Now I know why I could never have worked in the medical field. I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter and a 6 month old son and just the thought of losing either of them makes me sick to my stomach. I wish you the best.
