I'm probably not 'qualified' to weigh in on this, cause I'm single and have no children! BUT...I think you deserve your 'me' time. You said it yourself, you appreciate your husband and child MORE after you've had your time away from them. Everyone needs alone time now and then. I have daycare children M-F, 6am to 5pm, and it has made me respect mothers (and the fathers who are 'hands on') more than anything. I get to spoil them rotten, and then send them home! lol
But no one better ask me to keep their kids in the evening or weekends,(unless it's an emergency) cause that's 'my' time! Maybe that's not the same, but it makes me understand, cause being a mom is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Let your husband know how much you love and appreciate him and your family, and that time for yourself now and then, recharges and refreshes you, so you can be an even better wife and mother!

I understand. As much as I love it when my husband lets me go out for fun- sometimes I just want to be home doing diddly squat. And I don't want to do it when the house is a mess and I feel I need to clean it.
Everybody needs to have some time to themselves, stop with the guilt. You love Disney too, but wouldn't want to stay in the park forever right? Humans need down time, mommies are only human. Set aside mommy and daddy down time so that you BOTH get it!
Read "confessions of a slacker mom." If MOM is good, the family is good. Daph Bee needs time to herself. On that note, I am in desperate need of ME time or I am going to go postal. You are not selfish. ONly psycho women think they should be with their kids all the time. Hey, they cut the cord.... now run free
You girls are too too too funny. I'm so glad I got to be a part of you growing up. Motherhood is the most wonderful thing in the world. But in this day and age we are strong enough to know when we need a break, the wine isn't cutting it , the prozac isn't strong enough! I LOVE MY FAMILY! Cassie you know that, but you also know how we need OUR time! I guess thats what meeting BIlly Idol is all about!ha ha Hang in there girls, we've been doing this for eternity, but we are much smarter now!??????? Viva Las Vegas!!!!!!!!
